Hotels in Cebu City

"The location was convenient since it’s near to supermarkets/malls. It was clean and the bed was comfy. But my only concerns were the noises at night. It seemed they don’t have designated quiet hours for the residents there. I could hear people playing table tennis till morning. I didn’t have a good sleep on my first night and I had a nightmare when I fell asleep. It seemed my body was not getting the proper sleep it deserved after a long trip to that hotel."

"Swimming pool was closed due to the earthquake which hits in October 1st. That’s what they told me. Maybe it was just pretext. U can’t ask extra towel for your guest cos there is only you who paid for room. And therefore u have only one towel. 😂 Internet was crushing every hour. After midnight it stops completely."

"Waterfront used to be our 'go to' every time we traveled here and while we plan to come back more now that the restrictions are lifted, we may be looking for other accommodations. Notably, it felt completely different than our pre-covid stay. Service used to be attentive and on the spot...now it seems distracted and unfocused on the customer. Food at breakfast was largely cold and not fresh and for what you're charging...everything should be fresh and warm, e.g. pancakes, fried eggs, bacon. Shocked that the one thing I couldn't wait to experience and share with my young children was the assortment of fruit, but there were no mangos....in the Philippines...no mangos. lol Lobby service seemed to be on their phones while we waited to catch someone's attention to order a drink. Everyone was polite, but the 'standard' seems to have fallen or relaxed considerably since our last stay. Facilities seemed a bit rundown as well. We booked a VIP suite and the carpets were wet upon arrival...apparently they had shampooed the carpets, but had not planned that far enough in advance to allow them to dry. The A/C was barely working in our room such that we were sweating at times in bed. I've had better stays....here and elsewhere."

"a quick overnight stay at quest. ian was generous enough to extend a late check-out as ive checked-in late and considerate in providing me with a corner room with a gorgeous view of the business disrict. bedroom was spacious but needs a makeover. it also has the amenities you need - iron and board included. the bathroom had a weird layout. express check-out was convenient and fast. overall, will stay here again."

"We love this hotel, a couple of minutes walking distance from Ayala Mall, busy area for shopping and dining. Swimming pool, gym, nice breakfast buffet. We will come back next time."

"The hotel is very close to Ayala mall. If you are someone that loves shopping , then you should stay here. The staffs in the hotel are very friendly and accommodating. If you enjoy music in the evening, they have some live music in the lobby until 11 pm. You can also order cocktails or any drinks in the lobby bar. They have some very good ones. ”Gayuma ng Sirena. ” is a must try. Breakfast is also good just come earlier to be able to sit in the restaurant."

"I'm sorry, but the musty carpet smell ruined my experience. It smells as if the hotel hasn't shampooed the carpets in 20 years. I asked to change rooms the first night, but that didn't make much difference. Such a small room window meant that I couldn't air out the room. The smell was so fetid, that I'd cover my nose with the bed linen just to sleep. I was tempted to sleep in the bathroom where there was no carpet, or even just book another hotel. I can't recommend this hotel to anyone, and I won't be returning unless they remove or replace the carpet, as I doubt even a shampoo job would remove odour this bad. They've had complaints about the carpet before, so I can't see this happening. And that's a shame, because the decent interior design and amenities provided is on par with that of a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's too bad the hotel managers will scare off potential guests just to save costs on shampooing carpets. I can't always say positive things about the service, either. While the staff are polite, I'd ask them to fix my safety deposit box while I was out and it never happened. I'd have to keep reminding them to supply me with water, a little cumbersome since I really didn't have a direct way of communicating to housekeeping. There was a phone line, but calls weren't answered. Regarding location, you'd think it's a prime location given its proximity to Ayala Mall. Just be warned that the hotel is positioned between major traffic jams (see the photo). These traffic jams didn't just occur during peak hours, either. Otherwise, the rooms weren't as noisy as it looks."

"Strict when it comes to buffet. But overall the hotel was more than okay. Planning to spend our next anniversary here next year. Thank you Cebu Parklane!"
