Sanctuary at Grand Memories Santa Maria

The resort is really good and clean, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The food was ok for Cuba The staff do their best to accommodate your needs, special thanks to Lisbeisy lobby bar, Yesenia and Sosa from the entertainment team and Lisbet from Sales. I will come back

This was my first time in Cuba and I have to say.. we couldn’t have picked a better resort to visit, not only is it beautiful.. but the staff (aka the bestest of friends now) are the best part of this resort, our butlers Rudy and Yoel treated us so well it was next level, Rudy took us off resort with his wife Naimy Victoria to Santa Clara in the retro cars , it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. Yoel making this week incredible with all the help he provided for the special proposal for my now fiancé. They went the extra mile with baths, flowers and everything that came with it. I have to mention someone who made every bit of this happen … her name is Yailin and she’s the manager of Grand memories, I contacted her months prior to coming to plan the proposal, beautiful dinner with decorations on the beach, it was quite literally the most perfect night… it was my fiancés dream proposal. She is the nicest, sweetest most accommodating person I’ve EVER met. I want to thank Yailin, Rudy and Yoel for the best week of my life, I can guarantee you right now I will be back because of these 3 individuals, I literally cannot express my gratitude enough, I wish I could do more but I’m at a loss for words at this point. If you come here ask for building 57 so you get to experience their unmatched hospitality.

I had heard some good things from friends about this resort - as a solo female traveller this helped me decide to pick Sanctuary as it is Adults only and boutique style .. I decided to spoil myself with Premium Ocean View .. overall I had a wonderful stay - staff were kind , polite, the grounds are well kept. I will return some day but NEVER as a premium guest .. if you want Premium and actual feel like a diamond club premium book on Grand Memories the main resort.. I had a disappointing experience since the first day .. the long list on Sunwing site that says what premium guests receive is a joke .. I did not get private check in nor I did not get resort tour , nor did I get refreshing towel service.. the room is dated and tired , decoration pillow has a tear, stain on my sheet, I am supposed to get 3 special suppers , one nobody even informed me when it was so i missed it , I was supposed to have a la carte 2nd night it was canceled , nobody explained the breakfast a la carte nor the Lunch a la carte until I finally found the manager - and wasn’t told its actually at the grand memories side begins their buffet I finally found it used it once it was horrible and nobody goes .. I have spoken to the manager about the private lounge with snacks for all premium guests and yes I still can not find it and nobody has offered to help me find it .. the private diamond club (premium) beach area is at the main grande memories resort which is a simple rope indicating you are on one side and the rest of the guests are on opposite side .. not exactly private and wasn’t made to feel I’m premium diamond club.. i never got my fresh fruit and cocktail as indicated for beach diamond club and since it’s at grand memories kids are allowed if parents are premium - if I book sanctuary we should have a spot at our beach with no kids ! I did a spa massage and Sunwing says 30% discount but at the spa it is only 20% discount and it would of been great information when I requested to have it booked by butler that I also receive access to sauna and their pool that same day but luckily I was allowed to return next day if I wanted to.. one of the days I spent on the sanctuary beach the life guard wouldn’t leave me alone just kept wanting to chat I had to say to him hey your a life guard go do lifeguard things .. the only time I felt like a premium guests was at the grand memories buffet they treated me so well .. I will return I had a lovely time overall but premium is a waste of money
