My partner and myself had our wedding in the Hotel Kilmore on the 31st of August 2024 and we enjoyed every second of it. Their wedding packages are amazing!! As we were planning our wedding from Sydney Australia we wanted a wedding package that included a lot more than just the basics. The Hotel Kilmore’s package that we went with included a photographer (choice of 2), band and Dj (choice of 5) food tasting before our big day, a secure post box for all our wedding cards which was perfect. We also had our ceremony there which was no extra cost for us to use the room. The one thing that really stood out to us both was how good the food was and how accommodating the wedding team were. If you are looking for a venue for your wedding I would definitely recommend Hotel Kilmore from the beginning to the end everything was perfect!!

Downtown Abbey meets modern day living - we stayed in the Bedell suite which was in the original Farnham Estate house - an absolutely delightful room with modern bathroom facilities & a gorgeous comfy super king sized bed but complemented by antique furniture, decor & sash windows. Maxwells restaurant, lobby bar & cellar bar - all staff very attentive & could make any cocktail you ask for, great selection of wine & and all round menu suitable for every taste. Breakfast is superb with a lovely view, the staff aim to seat you with a view where possible. Yvonne checked us in & was able to tell us a bit about Cavan & the best place for a coffee, she was right! Spa facilities were so clean & offered a serene environment. A faultless stay & a perfect trip to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thanks, we’ll be back.

I attended my brother's wedding here on 22nd April and from the moment we arrived at the hotel until check out the following day everything was outstanding! Every single member of staff from the managers who greeted us at the door upon arrival, bar staff, waiting staff, receptionists and housekeeping staff in the corridors greeted us with a warm and genuine smile and a friendly hello. My first impression from the outside was the hotel looked quite plain and ordinary but don't let that fool you! Once inside the interior was simply beautiful. It was tasteful and elegant but also bright and modern. The bedrooms were a generous size and spotlessly clean. With the vantage from the top table I could observe the entire service throughout and it was probably the best and smoothest wedding service I have seen. At this point I should mention I have 16 years experience in hospitality. The service during the meal was exceptional. All members of staff were friendly and professional and nothing was too much bother. The food was full of flavour and beautifully presented as was the breakfast the following morning so special shout out to the chefs you do an amazing job and often without the recognition you deserve! Apologies if this was long winded but it's been over a month now from the wedding and everyone is still raving about it, so from all of us Thank you very much for making our day special and one we certainly won't forget.
