We have stayed at the Palace Hotel many times as we visit family in the area. It is consistently outstanding! The hotel was renovated in the last couple of years and it has only improved with that effort. The hotel, view of the sea, and location are all excellent. However, it is the truly friendly staff that distinguishes every stay. From reception to the wait staff, they are all friendly, smiling, and helpful. A great choice to stay if in Catanzaro Lido!!

A nice location across the beach. The hotel is very elegant with helpful personnel at reception even honoring our request to get an ocean view room. Breakfast is a nice selection of pastries, fresh fruit and yogurt and very helpful service.

Stayed at this hotel for a few nights on business. We were a large group and we arrived late at night - all the rooms were ready and the staff were nice. The hotel is a medium rise property on the waterfront *****. It's nice and feels very "old world" with lots of the common areas and restaurant having very old style furniture - works though. I was on the 4th floor but not a room with an ocean view. There was some refurbishments going on in the hotel but there were no noise issues for me. Spacious room, good enough wi-fi. Breakfast was a bit on the smaller side compared to higher star hotels, but still fine. The staff speak enough English to get by if you don't have any Italian. There's the beach right across the road and it'd great for a swim or suntanning. There's a few shops / cafes / restaurants etc around, but this is not near the main (old) town of Catanzaro (20min drive away) if you're looking for the Italian Old Town experience. Catanzaro probably isn't on many peoples list of places to see in Italy, but for what we were doing it was fine. We did end up in the Old Town (for work) and we did try Bobs Pizza - recommended for a great / different pizza experience.

Our stay at the Hotel Palace was one of the most enjoyable accommodations I’ve ever experienced. Staff were all helpful and professional, including the lifeguards at the beach. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. And our package included the breakfast, which fed my family and me with a variety of delicious breakfast foods. The location provided us with a beautiful view of the Ionian Sea.

The hotel is well located facing the sea. I was in a tastefully decorated renovated room. The bathroom was ok. The hotel's problem is its nice location. Yes, the Lido is bordered by a road where all the traffic circulates. The noise is unbearable. The diesel bus stop is in front of the hotel and gasoline fumes come into the room. It's a shame to pay more for a sea view and leave the window closed because of the noise. In addition, the plastic chair placed on the balcony could not be used because it was full of dust. Damage

We spent just one night in this historic hotel on the Catanzaro Lido seafront and it was a truly very pleasant experience. Modernized and super comfortable room, top clean. Very rich and good breakfast. I also found my oat milk and excellent croissants. Smiling and kind staff.

I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Very nice hotel, wonderful rooms, impeccable cleanliness. BUT. The terrible restaurant. We start from the assumption that a 4 star plus hotel must have a kitchen that is always open. On Sunday the kitchen was closed and I, with an elderly mother, had to make do or she would die of hunger. I asked for the possibility of having something but nothing. We had lunch and dinner on Friday and Saturday. The card is made up of 2 first courses and 2 second courses, you tell me. Then the first bad ones. Everything with the same flavor is a disgusting broth at the bottom of the plate. My advice is to absolutely review the kitchen, bring it back to 5 years ago where everything was excellent.
