Hotels near Roman Amphitheater in Catania

We were very welcome, we arrived well before check-in, but we could leave our baggage that were then raised in our room. The receptionist, very kind and friendly, gave us a Catane plan and gave us good advice to walk and for the restaurants. The hotel has a design decoration and the majesty of the old palace. We have been very well sleeping because the street is relatively quiet and there is a very good double glass. Breakfast is very expensive, served as a buffet in a pleasant room. We enjoyed having fresh fruits, among other things. At our departure we could leave our luggage at the hotel to walk quietly in Catane, with our plane being in the evening. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable and is very comfortable.

Wifi is only available around the reception. Location is good. I won’t recommend the hotel due to the one rude staff who blamed me for putting a key on the wrong door(there were two doors before the reception). At that time I was super tired after walking all day but he ordered me to wait until he finished talking on the phone with angry face. He called me off that I almost damaged the door by clicking the key too much and the other customers could haven’t use it then I have to pay for the damage. He even mentioned the price for it. Then I had to show him that I can use the keys in the right place and turn them properly. The worst customer service I’ve ever had and my trip was damaged..

Catania left us a crazy memory. The owner of the bed and breakfast ran away and the keys were not handed over to us. That night was the beach carnival in Catania. The hotel is very difficult to decide. No place to stay but fortunately booked one night here. Nice hotel, helpful service and good hot water. Recommended to live. There are few parking spaces at the entrance and there are parking spaces on the street. But watch out for the ZTL zone

Excellent, we were two days with my wife, and we were welcomed by Melina and her husband Luigi, two kind, educated and very friendly people. We have been given detailed instructions that we followed the letter to make us taste the local street food, from pan with horse meat to the granites, fish restaurants, etc etc .... all azeccate. Rooms are four, all inspired by the 800 Sicilian furniture, ours called women Fernande, small but careful, small bathroom with big shower box, balcony etc ... Breakfast is served in a veranda on the terrace and is abundant And there is everything, Melina and her husband Luigi, also preparing omelets, really excellent and served with quality products. The interior structure is clean and well maintained, the outside of the palace leaves to desire but is located just a few meters from Castle Ursino and near the Duomo, and a strategic place to visit Catania. We will certainly return and I strongly advise everyone on the structure.

Il personale di Palazzo San Giorgio è molto disponibile e competente, mi ha fornito tutte le informazioni che ho richiesto durante il mio soggiorno (indicazioni stradali, ristoranti, musei ecc). Ho alloggiato una notte in una bellissima ed elegante junior suite, luminosa ed estremamente pulita. Ho trovato l’arredamento dell’intera struttura molto moderno e curato nei minimi dettagli. Quello che mi è piaciuto di più è stata la colazione….buffet vastissimo e tanta scelta anche alla carta. Sebbene sia molto bella la spa non è grandissima e questo la rende un ambiente accogliente. Super raccomandato!!

The hotel is great, the most central part of Catania, in the middle of the church and Elephant Square, but very quiet and private. The whole hotel has a good smell of aroma, simple but not simple, the bed is very comfortable, sleepless every day. The staff is very good, the English is OK, there are a lot of delicious people around, they will also give you advice. There are homemade toiletries, carefully crafted with Sicilian fruit, great. We got in early to Catania and they let us check in right away. The Hotel is great location near restaurants and airport. THey had free shuttle service to the airport, a 1st for all of the other hotel;s we stayed at. SHuttles were prompt and courtious. We did not eat there. Wake up call came on time. Only negative, the room would not cool down. It was set for hours and only went down 1 degree. THe bar fridge did not cool either. There were no ice machines that was the norm for Italy and Sicily.
