You couldn’t ask for a more perfect location - directly opposite the cathedral on the main square. The hotel itself isn’t the most luxurious but the location makes up for its failings. It’s clean, the rooms are large and comfortable but a little basic. The staff are very helpful although they don’t really speak English so they can’t be as helpful as they’d like to be. Being on the main square means it’s a little noisy until about midnight and although the air conditioning works well, it’s quite noisy.

The location, facing the cathedral is wonderful. Being in the central square does however mean it’s quite noisy until around midnight….and the bells of the cathedral will certainly wake you up in the morning. The hotel itself is clean, the beds are comfortable and the guys on reception are very friendly….. but they speak hardly any English - so unfortunately as much as they’d like to, they can’t be much help if you want to know anything. Like a lot of Catania, the hotel has seen better days. It’s got charm, it’s got soul but don’t expect all the door handles, window shutters, light fittings to work….or indeed there to be a lift…..or that the air conditioner doesn’t sound as loud as a motorbike! It’s far from perfect but you’ll get a lovely and genuine taste of a lovely if somewhat ‘lived in’ city.

Authentic Sicilian hotel in an excellent location to explore Catania. Perfect views of the cathedral. Please note they do not have a lift in the hotel so be prepared to carry your luggage up the stairs. It is absolutely worth the effort. About 10 minutes to Catania airport

This hotel is all about the location, right on the piazza. Great shops to visit when you step right out the door and good restaurants nearby. The hotel was a little gritty but the location can’t be beat. The staff was friendly and to the point. Be sure that you are ready to carry your luggage up the stairs or the staff can help you.

Super friendly staff both during check-in and check-out. Also great communication before getting there. The room is exactly as described. Despite being right in the center, it's really quiet at night. Perfect for an early start exploring the city. It's really close to all the main landmarks of the city. Breakfast available at the cafe right in the square (visible from the room balcony). There you can enjoy the typical Sicilian breakfast: una granita e brioche. and well... have I mentioned the view from the balcony? No need, I have the photos to prove it! (plus the many stories I published during my short stay :) ).

A decent small hotel, with reasonable prices, in the centre of Catania. The rooms are somewhat old but adequately furnished, equipped with the essentials (TV, AC, toiletries) and with charming decorations. However the greatest advantage of this hotel is its location. Right on the Piazza Duomo, one of the safest and most lively areas of the city, and in walking distance from all the major sights. In addition, most of the rooms offer great views over the Piazza and the Cathedral. A very convenient accommodation I would certainly consider again at a future visit in Catania.

Highly recommended for the location (downtown, a few steps from the cathedral) and for the kindness of the staff. But old style. Excellent value for money . For short stays it's fine. Convenient parking a few steps from the hotel.
