"Beautiful newly opened hotel with very nice staff providing excellent service! We stayed at the Moon Boutique Hotel for one night while visiting Cat Ba island. The hotel is very well located on the town's main street and all sights on the island are easily accessible from this point. The room was large, stylishly decorated and had a very comfortable bed. Our favorite part of the hotel however was the staff! They went the extra mile to make us feel welcome and have a nice time on the island! They provided us great information about activities, prepared excellent welcome drinks and breakfast and always had a smile on their face. It was also very nice to see how well they worked as a team! Definitely the best hotel on Cat Ba!"

"Conveniently located, we picked this hotel to do a one day boat trip to Alan Ha bay and a day in the National parc. Mattress was comfortable, room was clean and breakfast was good. The whole street was under big construction so it was noisy and dusty. Better to double check with the hotel to make sure roadwork is complete. Suggestion : 1. change body wash and shampoo as the one provided in our room smell bad, 2. Partner with a better motorbike rental company : we rent 2 different scooters through the hotel, both were in poor condition (damaged tyres, poor brake, empty tank, engine failure, smelly helmet)"

"The hotel is located at the very top, but for those who find it difficult to climb, a taxi is no problem. Newer and quiet at night. If you go down to the sea along the right road, at the turn there will be an excellent cafe, cheap, tasty, large portions (pictured). The hotel is one of the cheapest, so everything in the room is simple. The mattress is very hard, the air conditioner is directed at the bed, it needs to be sealed with tape, there is not a single hanger in the closet, you can only dry it on the TV if you wipe off the dirt. But overall, it’s clean, no insects, there’s a refrigerator, you can ask for a kettle. The bathroom is small, without partitions, and there is always water on the floor. It is difficult to regulate the shower: either cold or boiling water. When we finally succeed, we soap our hair; the hot water runs out. Breakfast is minimal: two eggs with toast or two pancakes, your choice, plus a slice of watermelon, tea, coffee. The service is good, no problems."

JJackie GerbeI had a lovely stay in this hotel. Upon arrival, the manager upgraded my room to give me a Mountain View with balcony, which was appreciated! He offered to set up tours and a motorbike for me. He also set up my transfer to Ninh Binh. The breakfast was small, but very good! The location is in the main part of town, but you have to walk through a small alleyway to get to this street. I felt safe as a solo female traveler, although it was quite dark. The location was nice and quiet for sleeping and the air con worked phenomenally.
