My wife and I returned today after 4 nights in River Island Hotel. We found a friendly hotel with a warm welcome. Rooms were probably basic but very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities required. My mobility isn't great but there is a lift. You can't call it to the front door but reception which is up a few steps will send it down to you if you need it. Buffet breakfast is plentiful and evening meals are delicious so we ate there each night. We would certainly plan on staying there again. Value was amazing for the quality of the hotel.

Had the pleasure of staying in the Hights hotel in April. We upgraded to one of the new premium rooms, and were not disappointed. Fridge, tea coffee facilities in room. Walkin shower. We only had B&B , a big shout out to Leen in the restaurant. Every morning, she had our well-done Bacon ready after our first day. ( it's the little things that make the difference) All the restaurant staff were lovely and helpful over our 4 days . Yes, I would recommend and would stay again. Note there are two types of rooms , premium ( just renovated) and standard.

Myself and my family stayed here for one night so we didn't see all the facilities but we had a wonderful stay. We ordered an inter-connecting family room and it was huge! We had two very spacious, spotless bathrooms and very large bedrooms connected by an internal door. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning was very effective during the heat-wave. The breakfast was nice and the staff were all very pleasant. It was easy to park in the car park provided. I'd highly recommend a stay here.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was great and we were very well looked after. Breakfast was well laid out and plenty of food to choose from. Price was good for what we got. It really set us up for the rest of our journey.

Excellent for visiting Killarney and surrounding area. 20 minute brisk walk into town. On main road which was noisy from the balcony rooms so bear in mind if you want more peace go around the back. A relaxed and friendly hotel.

We had our wedding in the Killarney Oaks Hotel in July 2023. We couldn’t have been happier with how the day went and all our dealings with Tara and the hotel staff. The hotel were amazing to deal with from the day we booked 2 years previous. The drinks reception is still being talked about by our guests, the service and setting is stunning, delicious food and modern affordable bedrooms. Tara had everything timed to perfection, we asked her to show the All Ireland hurling semi final during the meal and we timed the speeches for half time, it was done perfectly!! Food was delicious and catered brilliantly to people with dietary requirements. Lots of staff on so service was prompt and seemless, bar was running smoothly at all times. Windows opened out to greens and a garden. Bed was comfortable and the appearance of the both the room and the entire hotel pleasant. We enjoyed spectacular breakfasts! The Browne Room (bar) was closed but we spent some time in the downstairs bar. Staff was exceedingly adept and pleasant, at reception, in the dining room, and also in the bar. We were encouraged to enjoy the whisky tasting experience and did! But one of the reasons for encouraging us was that we'd learn a fair amount about the different whiskeys. Our server knew less than we did.
