We stayed in the castle inn overnight and had dinner in the pub. The bedroom itself is nice though the bed frame is quite high and very creaky,it's very disconcerting when you turn over in bed it makes a lot of noise. We chose to dine in their pub as the website states they are 2 Rossete pub and at one point pub of the year. We were sat in the conservatory which looks like mess hall. The floor was dirty, there were indoor plants lined up behind where I sat that are struggling to survive. The staff are friendly but very disorganized. We were sat first than everyone else though we were served our starters later than everyone. There were different staff attending to our table and the wait between courses are too long.

Very comfortable bed and pillows, good size room. Bathroom good size with excellent amenities. Food at restaurant was excellent and breakfast had a lot of variety. Access to Manor House gardens - worth a look. Staff were very kind and attentive

An amazing place to stay. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Lovely room with a sloping window;Coffee and tea making facilities. Very comfortable; plenty of hot water in the bathroom. Good bar and excellent menu. We ate in on both evenings; the beetroot salad was tasty and had lots of ingredients; the lamb shank shepherds pie was really good and certainly an improvement on the traditional variety. Breakfast was provided in the conservatory and had plenty to choose from on the buffet and then cooked food to order. We really enjoyed the Castle Inn and would recommend to friends;hope to go back next time we want to visit the area. From there we went to Tyntesfield (NT) and also Stonehenge.

As a member of the excellent Manor House Golf Club, I arranged for 3 friends to join me for a couple of rounds with an overnight stay at The Castle Inn. The experience was first class ! The staff were excellent - friendly, professional and attentive. The food was superb and very good value. Proper cooking - a step up from the usual 'gastropub' fare. Rooms were very well kitted out. Complimentary chocolates, personalised welcome note, extremely comfortable bed and large new fluffy towels. Our early breakfast was delicious - all freshly cooked and served with a smile. We shall most certainly repeat the trip and I highly recommend The Castle Inn.

Very bright lights and zero music or ambience, make for such a lack of atmosphere. Which is a shame as the food and menus are very good. Wine list is great, maybe could add a few more reasonable priced wines, as not all good wine needs to be £12+ a glass!

Loved everything about our stay here. The room was lovely - very clean and comfortable with a beautiful view down the village. Breakfast was amazing and we dined in a couple of times - excellent food. The staff were young but very professional and so helpful - a real asset to the Castle. All in all our stay was very relaxing and enjoyable - probably best break we have ever had. We will definitely be back.

Nice in almost all respects but over £11 for a glass of wine is taking the p--s I appreciate that people need to make a living but when a pint of beer and a glass of wine costs over £16 I think it's verging on profiteering. Can't vouch for the food because if the drink prices were anything to go by wasn't going to risk it.

We decided on a last minute trip and we were lucky enough to stumble across this fabulous place to stay and enjoy the most beautiful village in England. From the minute we arrived we were greeted by a friendly and welcoming member of the team, Danielle made us feel very welcome and showed us to our room which was really quirky and cosy with a great view of the village from our window. Everything was just perfect, a really comfortable bed with crisp white sheets and fluffy pillows that afforded us a great nights sleep. The room was spotlessly tidy with everything that you could possibly need, robes, hairdryer, ironing board, luxury toiletries, water, biscuits, kettle, coffee machine, fluffy white towels. Eating at the Castle Inn was also very good with a great choice of food and drinks. The breakfast was fantastic with various cold continental options as well as a cooked breakfast which was cooked to order. The latte was lovely and very courteous staff made our stay a memorable one and we would definitely recommend it to our friends and family.

We loved The Castle Inn for dinner. It’s part of The Manor House, right in the heart of tiny Castle Combe next to the Market Cross. Nicely refurbished, with all of the old beams and fireplace. Nice atmosphere, excellent service, and top notch food. Venison was on the menu, and it was delicious, perfectly cooked, as was my wife’s fish and chips. Enjoyed the draught Farmer’s ale. I have also reviewed the White Hart, which we also enjoyed. If you have time for only one, though, my recommendation easily goes to the Castle Inn. Well done!
