This is an absolute gem. The house itself is beautiful. The owners have created a stunning setting for your stay. The rooms provide everything you need for a luxurious sleep. The breakfast is incredible. The homemade fruit compotes and homemade granola were such a nice start to the day. The owners themselves are so friendly and cannot do enough for you. My only regret is that we weren't staying longer.

Just an incredible stay, from the moment we arrived Martin & Melanie oh sorry & Willow we were looked after. nothing was too much trouble & they went above and beyond to make our stay special. Both are extremely knowledgeable about the area & Martin will take you were ever you need to go. The house is absolutely beautiful & in a great location, the rooms are gorgeous and quirky in the best way all the little details make it extra special. Breakfast is fantastic & the scrambled eggs are beautiful, homemade jams & fruit preserves are very special indeed. We will be back and cannot thank you both enough for a truly wonderful stay.

This stay was truly 'a home from home experience.' Our excellent hosts, Mel and Martin, were very friendly and more than happy to answer questions and offer information regarding the local area. Breakfasts were a delight, and included freshly baked croissants and an extensive choice of tasty fruits and preserves. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and very much enjoyed visiting the surrounding area.

A fabulous two days spent and will definitely go back next time am visiting The Newt nearby. Lovely house and the hosts Melanie and Martin are wonderful! Lovely breakfasts too featuring homemade and local sourced ingredients. Thank you both again!

Great B&B in a traditional sense, staying in a large, warm & welcoming family home. Very friendly hosts who could not be more accommodating. We actually stayed 2-nights in their separate annex (which is just a few doors down from the main B&B) and this had a small kitchen area and an upstairs bedroom with en-suite and a log burner, some seating and a small table etc. Very cosy indeed and comfortable. Additionally the annex has off-road parking accessed through secure gates. Breakfast is at the main property with the friendly team and other guests all seated around a large table with plenty of continental breakfast options including various homemade jams, fruit compotes and preserves etc. Ask for eggs! I agree, they are legendary and rightly so (scrambled, poached etc on sourdough toast), very tasty indeed. We’d happily return!

What a wonderful stay! Martin and Melanie were fantastic hosts and made our lovely stay all the more pleasant. Very comfortable room, peaceful and relaxing and the effort put into the breakfast was no less than amazing!!! Can’t wait to come back and will definitely be bringing the family with me next time.

My bf and I stay here every summer and with good reason! Martin & Melanie always make us feel incredibly welcome, it's like a home from home for us and we look forward to visiting and chatting to them. The house is beautiful and tastefully decorated yet full of character. The rooms are always immaculate and their lovely garden to the rear is so tranquil. Upon arrival from the north on a hot day they poured us a cold beer to sit out in the sunshine with. They also can't do enough for you during your stay; including early check-in, driving us to nearby places, keeping our bags safe while we were elsewhere and putting on a gorgeous breakfast spread with homemade granola, fresh fruits and pastries and Martin's delicious scrambled eggs on the nicest bread ever! And of course the lovely dogs who are super friendly but really calm (so if you're nervous with dogs it's no problem) BF was laughing at me for trying to get in our room without unlocking the door - I forgot that we were technically in a hotel! We'll be back next year!!

The second time we have stayed here, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The very comfortable, elegant room - luxury bedding and thick fluffy towels, the gorgeous garden and delicious breakfasts with lots of home-made treats such as granola and fruit compotes. Melanie and Martin are charming and welcoming hosts, for whom nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Amazing bed and breakfast with the friendliest owners who did everything they could to make my stay a really great one! The room is super spacious and I was fortunate to nab the bathroom with a bath! Despite it being a one night stay, it was long trip and bath was welcome - they even provide the bubble bath and salts! Breakfast was generous and fresh with real coffee!! This will be my first point of call when I am in the area next
