Sporthotel Sonne

The sport bar had suge a terrible service. 20 full minutes waiting sitted at the table waiting for a waiter. All the other tables being served but for some reason we were not deserving to be served. Would never come back. Just an extra, my wife was pregnant.

I am not prone to hyperbole in my reviews. But the Sporthotel Sonne deserves the highest ranking I can provide: exceptional in every aspect. The location, the facilities, the accommodations and the food: exceptional. I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Europe and the US and the Sporthotel exceeds them all. Our accommodation on the third floor was magnificent: a spectacular view of the Alp di Siusi; roomy accommodation with comfortable beds with duvets, sofa, chair and tables; lovely bath with window to see the magnificent mountains and valleys. Clean and spakling. The food: delicious. The dining service: outstanding. The location and view of the Dolomties: unmatched. The spa: sumptuous with an outdoor heated pool, a steam room, two saunas, and two relaxation rooms I am hesitant to give this my highest review because I don't want it to become overwhelmed with its success. My only message to the hosts: don't let your standards fall: you are at the pinnacle.

Wonderfully relaxing stay with epic mountain views, fantastic pool and spa facilities, excellent food and very friendly and attentive staff. We stayed in a beautiful, spacious, south facing room with breathtaking views over the Seiser Alm and mountains. The food was exceptional - beautiful buffet style breakfast, and every evening a delicious and diverse 5 course menu - we tried lots of dishes we had not tried before - everything was cooked and presented beautifully. Warm, friendly and professional service from Maitre Florian and the restaurant team. Pool and spa was really special, to swim outdoors in an heated infinity pool with mountain views was the perfect way to relax after a morning’s hiking or biking. The sports massage at the Spa was a great way to round off the week. Great storage area for mountain bikes with charging points for e-bikes. Lara and the reception staff were very kind and helpful especially when we had need of some medical attention during our stay. We are already planning our return next summer. We loved it here! The panoramic suite was large and with a magnificent view. It's been remodeled somewhat recently and still smells of pine wood. The pool has got to be the best in the Dolomite region. There is both an indoor and outdoor pool, both warmed to a pleasant temperature. The spa was great as well. The dinner menu was hit or miss, but always an adventure. The owners were gracious, although not all the staff were friendly. But don't let that deter you. Stay here if you are truly looking for a unique Dolomite experience and the best views on Earth!

Good location, but the most rude staff in the dolomites and horrible food. Really not worth staying here with so many good options around. Restaurant staff was in particular terrible: kept messing up the orders and took forever to order cold food.
