The food in this hotel is just amazing. We could not believe we were on half board in 4* hotel, it felt like Michelin star restaurant every evening. Design of the hotel is very tasteful, rooms are spacious, beds are super comfortable. On top of everything the personnel in the hotel is so friendly and well trained and they really help to make your stay extraordinary . Thank you Gianluca, Bruno, Peter, Alessio, Angie, Fabio and everyone else to make our stay so special. We will be back!

Great Hotel: ambience and architecture in line with the local mountains and woods. We did appreciate the room, the SPA (pool and whirlpool), but also the restaurant and the variety of food. Very nice and professional staff. Very good for friends and couples.

We stayed at Hotel Lamm with another couple as a 2 Night get away and enjoyed the hotel and surrounds immensely. The hotel is quietly sophisticated… the dining room staff was excellent and the food very nice. LOVED the indoor rooftop pool with movable roof which looks at the clock tower. Beautiful design and the spa area sublime. Your front desk staff includes a woman Angelica who went out of her way to help us with hiking direction, stretching classes and everything else that we needed. They were ALL excellent !! This, is a wonderful hotel centrally located that we will return to in the future. Can’t go wrong here. Thank You to the staff and Management for a very lovely stay.

First, Castelrotto is a charming little town with easy bus connections. We were welcomed warmly in the reception, check in was quick and easy. We stayed in the Schlern suite room, it was amazing. Great view from the balcony, hot sauna, large room and was perfectly clean. Fluffy towels, robes and slippers. The spa and pool were very clean and relaxing. The breakfast was great, so many choices, fresh and tasty. We did the half board option too and that was the most surprising, we did not expect so many choices and beautiful presentation. Check out was seamless. Just one comment, I wish we would've known that breakfast did not begin until 7:30. I had booked a snowshoe guide in Ortisei at 9 one morning, so we didn't have much time that morning.

While the facilities are nice and the location is good, the service is not that great - long waiting time to take orders (we had to eat outside multiple times), the personnel are not very welcoming. In fact, one worker kept ignoring us consistently at our stay. Also the food is made with a lot of attention but it is not diverse.

Almost everything about our stay was superior: the professional and friendly staff, the cleanliness of the property, the design, the beautiful spa, the quality of the food, the creativity and attention to detail of the cocktails served at the bar by bartender, Gabor, the professionality and expertise of the head-waiter/sommelier, Thomas… we had the feeling that the entire team of the Lamm really works at a very high level of competence. If I could find fault in anything, it’s only that our room had very dry air quality making it hard to sleep comfortably. Our room was under the pathway that leads to the outdoor whirlpool and often sounded like elephants were trampling over our bed early in the morning by either guests or from cleaning. We thought the Gourmet restaurant Lampl Stube wasn’t worth the high cost. I think the idea of offering an extra gourmet option is an interesting one, but at the price point offered, it didn’t live up to our expectations. The quality of the food included in the pension at the main restaurant is above average to excellent quality and that offered in the Lampl Stube was definitely a notch higher, but not enough to give us any "wow" factor. The 4 Course menu starting at €98 is steep especially for hotel guests who forfeit a dinner already paid for in the main restaurant. I am aware that the the specialty items on the menu of the gourmet restaurant were very exclusive, but the taste and presentation was often underwhelming. One example would be the very good saffron risotto which had tasteless gold leaf sprinkled on the top and rare steamed mussels imported from Spain/Portugal served in a sad little pot to share. It might sound impressive on a menu, but the taste of the mussels were quite neutral and wasn’t worth the effort, in our opinions. We just thought the menu was trying too hard to be impressive instead of offering an uniquely creative and genuine statement from a passionate chef. The highlights of the menu were the amuse bouche and the fish course which was perfectly cooked and accompanied by an interesting sauce. The service by Mara was excellent and attentive and it was cool to have the dining room to ourselves that evening, so it was in all very enjoyable, just not a highlight nor something we would have to do again unless there is a change of concept for the next time we visit. In all, we are already planning to return to the Lamm as the hotel and staff are excellent, as well as the location and we loved the variety of winter activities offered in the area including easy access to the expansive ski resort on Seiser Alm.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Lamm for 2 nights in the summer, a short stay to see the Dolomites and nearby towns, but too short to enjoy everything the hotel has to offer. The hotel is in the main square of Castelrotto and has excellent views of the surrounding area. The room itself was comfortable and has a private balcony. The spa was relaxing with excellent treatments, and the food at the restaurant was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and met our every need, going so far as to rush a car to Bolzano after we unfortunately left a few items in our safe, so that we might make our train back to Milan. A great stay overall, would highly recommend.

Lamm is really a fantastic hotel to stay in Castelrotto. We enjoyed a romantic suite, with a nice bed, bath in the bedroom, shower, separate living room and separate toilet. Food quality is very very good. The dinner typically consists of 4 courses, with a salad bar course before. We have enjoyed some dishes that would perfectly fit in a star rated restaurant. Wine list is quite extensive and at very acceptable prices. Service is friendly and relaxed ; we particularly enjoyed the good vibes brought by Antonio ! Breakfast offers everything you can expect from this type of place. Lots of options to create your own fruit / muesli bowl. On top of the hotel there is the spa and pool area. As this is a hotel in middle of the village, unfortunately they do not have a garden to relax in, and the number of places outside to enjoy the Dolomite sun are very limited. There is also an indoor area to relax next to the pool, but honestly, I did not like that much the atmosphere in there ; also the "digital detox" signs you find everywhere are somewhat patronising.
