Locanda le Piazze

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. This hotel is absolutely stunning, nestled within the countryside of Tuscany. The entire estate is so well landscaped and laid out perfectly. You truly feel like you are at a resort. The service is amazing from front desk to bar & restaurant. Everyone speaks English and is happy to help/accommodate whatever you need. The food is some of the best I have ever had. My husband and I ate at the restaurant all 3 nights for dinner while we stayed at the hotel. We enjoyed the 5 course menu on our first night but quickly found the A La Carte restaurant to be our favorite with tons of different options. The spaghetti is the best I have ever had. A lot of the food is sourced from the farm surrounding the hotel - we saw them harvesting from their garden before dinner would start. Their estate wine and olive oil is fantastic. Pool is beautiful and surrounded with nice outdoor furniture. The pool bar is also open serving drinks and food - it was too cold to go in the pool when I arrived but my husband and I grabbed a blanket and some drinks and sat to take in the views. The bar inside serves all different cocktails and the estate's wine - which is delicious. We had drinks in the bar every night we stayed - which was also a fun way to meet other guests. The hotel has board games and books to also occupy you! Rooms were large and clean. Beautiful views from the windows. And if that wasn't enough - my husband and i rented a car from Florence to Tuscany and got a flat tire on our way back to the hotel. The staff at the front desk helped speak to international roadside assistance and the tow truck when it arrived in Italian to help translate the situation. The situation was beyond chaotic and the hotel went above and beyond to make sure everything was handled. They even helped book us a private transfer back to Florence with a ~12 hour notice.
Hotel Palazzo Squarcialupi

I recently spent 4 evenings at this beautiful hotel in the heart of Castellina de Chianti. Not only is it a beautiful hotel with spacious rooms, but the amenities offered and staff were next level. There are several beautiful common areas on Floor 1, you can just imagine life back in the day when it was a family home. The pool was beyond peaceful, very clean and refreshing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had to leave to catch a flight at 3:30am and they offered to make a coffee, assisted with my luggage and made sure I met my driver safely. I stayed on the street side, and although the views of the valleys were beautiful I very much enjoyed hearing the hustle and bustle down below (never loud) and watching the action. The restaurant was delicious, wine shop very convenient and was nice to be so close to other restaurants and shopping. My air con worked great, as did the tv and wi fi. If you prefer to stay in a little village as opposed to a villa outside of town, this is the place!
Castello la Leccia

My husband and I are on a ten week holiday in Europe and our stay at Castello La Leccia was a definite highlight. The rustic exterior is so appealing and the rooms and interior have been elegantly and thoughtfully refurbished. This property exudes class without any pretentious attitude! The location is perfect for exploring Chianti and the swimming pool was a welcome relief from the searing Tuscan sun. We chose a deluxe room which was extremely spacious and so well appointed. Robes, slippers, separate sitting room with a desk and fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Lovely bathroom amenities and super large and comfy bed. Daily complimentary water which we have not experienced in many Italian hotels this year. The staff are absolutely wonderful! From Sara who checked us in and showed us around the property to the unforgettable group in the kitchen. Special shout out to Muella (sp?) for her enthusiastic and professional assistance. Nothing ever a problem for her. Breakfast was varied and delicious with an optional cooked menu. Dinner proved delicious as well including Wednesday night pizza. Both dining experiences enjoyed with the rolling hills of Tuscany as a back drop! Que bella! I am regretful that we had only two nights at Castello La Leccia as they were booked out and we wanted to extend our stay. However, I would definitely return and would highly recommend this property. Hotel Belvedere di San Leonino

One of the most satisfactory hotels in Italy. The hotel itself is in the hinterland of Tuscany, with its own invincible scenery. The hotel's facilities are complete, the service quality is very good, and there are no obstacles when checking in. The house of the hotel itself is remodeled from an old house, which is very flavorful. It is recommended that the hotel’s own restaurant, which tastes great, and also provides the hotel’s own red wine, which is very satisfactory. Special recommendation is the hotel’s breakfast, the best breakfast I have ever had during this trip to Italy. Although the types of ingredients provided are similar to those of other hotels, each ingredient itself is a local agricultural product, which is very fresh and tastes particularly good.

Amazing stay in Castellina di Chianti! The property is lovely with a large yard/garden area and a pool. The staff is very friendly & communicates easily. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and cozy & the A/C is excellent! Breakfast was delicious, too. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend the hotel!
Castello di Fonterutoli Wine Resort

Recently stayed here on a delayed honeymoon with my spouse. Had we know just how much we’d love our stay here, we would have booked it last on our trip and stayed more days. It was by far the highlight of our trip to Italy. If you’re looking for something authentic, relaxing, and quaint, then I suggest staying here. This is not a resort. It’s an authentic stay on a vineyard in a beautiful small village. We had a private room with access to a common area. Siena was a 20 min drive away. The wine tours were Fantastic and the guides were knowledgeable. The restaurant had a wonderful breakfast selection and we enjoyed dinner there as well. My experience booking with Eleanora and the entire staff’s hospitality while staying there made this experience memorable. A lovely stay it a lovely place. Thank you. -Kathleen
