Best Hotels in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy

The only good thing about this hotel is the view across the bay to Mt Vesuvius. The staff speak very little to no english (or choose not to). The aircon in the rooms is set to 18 degrees and the night staff say its set at the lowest setting. Its barely priducing a mild blow. We asked to sit at the area where we had breakfast for evening meal as were the two Itakian families yet we wete refused and told to eat in the main restaurant. The main meal i got was the Ravioli and when it arrived, i wished I'd went elsewhere. 5 small pieces of ravioli and they charge €5 for a small 250ml bottle of coca cola. We stayed 2 nights and with hindsight shouldve went elsewhere. There was 20 of us in our group and we deparyed at 0630 to go to our next destination. The hotel refused point blank to provide any sort of breakfast prior to our departure as they opened breakfast at 0700. Avoid at all costs.

Beautiful location with partial sea view room, very large structure. The staff were very kind and helpful. Overall nice room, but the shower should be changed because it is with the curtain. The hotel also has an excellent SPA which costs € 20 per person for an hour of wellness program (one hour, however, is not enough to fully enjoy the experience) Breakfast a bit to be reviewed.

We had a very good experience with this hotel. Situated across the beach, near to the bus station and close to the railway station, the hotel has big, spacious rooms, with all the ammenities needed. The breakfast was great, with a lot of choices, and mostly, the breakfast room was a rooftop with such an amazing view over the sea and vezuvius. Everything was perfect

A truly lovely hotel set in beautiful oasis like gardens with the most wonderful staff. Nothing was too much trouble and the reception staff were also incredibly helpful with planning our excursions, arranging transportation etc. Everyone was so helpful and attentive and we felt very special and well looked after! The view from our room and even more so from the breakfast room on the top floor, looking across to Vesuvius, was amazing ! Even though our stay was short it was perfect ! Thank you !!!

Stayed here for a week in September during covid. We had our temperature checked on arrival and hotel staff are ensuring guests where their masks in public areas. Hand sanitiser available at reception. Staff are nice and helpful. Hotel is in a great location on the beach and has the most amazing views and great location to see the sunset at night! Pool is a good size and clean, plenty of sunloungers. Our room had a nice view over the prom out to mount foite. Clean towels everyday aswell as 1 bottle of water per guest. Lots of restaurants within a short walking distance. The beach to the right side is better than the beach to the left. At some parts the beach is unkept (but obviously not the hotels fault). Hotel is in a great location for visiting other parts of Italy. Naples 60 minutes on the train Sorrento 20 minutes on the train Reception also helped us with a day trip of a mini cruise to visit Postanio and Amalfi coast. 2 trains stations are in walking distance of the hotel and the trains are very cheap (the train station where the cable cart is for mount foite is the one you want for direct trains). My only negative would be that I did not see anyone clean down any sunloungers between guest use. Although this normally would not be an issue I feel during covid the sunloungers should be cleaned or there be a self facility to clean your lounger before/ after use to minimise risk. We also did seem to have small ants daily in our shower cubicle (room 301) but the bathroom itself was clean. Overall I would recommend staying here, especially if you would like to see more of Italy on your visit as it is a great location!

How this hotel does not have 5 stars is beyond me. We reached out last minute after a terrible customer service experience at another hotel and Daniela, at the other end of the phone, was so incredible. Although there were no family rooms available they did have a brand new apartment close to the hotel free. We could avail ourselves of all the hotel's amenities (breakfast, pool, bar, etc.) throughout. The apartment was perfect, but what impressed me most was the the level of customer service. Everyone, from the team preparing for the weddings being hosted while we were there, to Elena and the team in the restaurant was attentive and warm. Thank you again Daniela, Maria, Marika and Elena for making our stay so memorable. You deserve that extra star...I'm sure it's on its way. Also, make sure you visit the Scavi di Stabbia and Pizzeria da Iolanda while you are in Gragnano.
