Best Western Plus la Rade

Friendly hotel with heated pool featuring six different jet and bubble activities. The kids loved playing in the pool. The breakfast was good, with a variety of foods in the buffet, including pastries, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon. Kids eat breakfast free. We had a family room with two small balconies and a door, providing a little privacy for the adults. The balconies allowed us to dry the swimming things. The coffee machine made good coffee and water hot enough for tea. Bathroom fairly small but quite well designed. Bestouan beach was only 5 mins walk, and Cassis centre about 10 mins walk.
Les Jardins de Cassis

We originally booked this hotel for 2 nights but liked it so much that we stayed longer. The reception staff are very friendly and efficient. The breakfast is the best that we have had in France and you can sit on the lovely terrace by the pool. The air-conditioning was brilliant and the beds were very comfortable. The pool was heated and the area around it had plenty of sunbeds and chairs. You can get drinks from the reception too. As we left, the lovely lady on reception gave us a few recommendations for the rest of our journey. One of those was Le Castellet, only 15mins away and absolutely stunning. We had a fabulous time in beautiful Cassis and would definitely stay there again.
Hôtel les Roches Blanches Cassis

Our family of 6 (4 teenagers between 16-19) spent 5 truly magical nights at Villa Cala Bianca at Les Roche Blanches. The Villa is beyond words and even the well done and helpful brochure and RD tour on the website don't do justice to how stunning the property is - there must be 80 feet incline from the lower pool to the top floor of the Villa. And Cap Canaile demands your attention with every step. The four bedrooms are clean and spacious, as are the bathrooms. The kitchen is well appointed and modern. The common areas in the ground floor and the third floor allowed plenty of space for and upstairs/downstairs situation whenever our kids or my wife and I needed some extra space. One thing to note for those with accessibility issues, it is a very vertical property -- lots and lots of steps. The Hotel is beautiful. Breakfast is quite good and you can order omelets and crepes if nothing at the buffet is grabbing you. We ate one night at Rocco and it was amazing, not cheap, but the food was incredibly good (try the parmesan wheel risotto and watch them make it). The hotel staff are amazing. First the Villa managers, Ayman and Vincent, could not have been better. Anytime we needed anything, one or the other would appear within minutes. Their attention to detail is impeccable but they are also kind and warm. They anticipated our needs with uncanny precision. We felt like they were both part of the family by our second day. We miss them already! The concierge team - Victoria and then Roman - were terrifc. They were hyper responsive and helped us arrange everything from a boat day through the Calanques (a must) and a day trip inland to visit Gordes and Rousillon (plus the Ochre Trail and lavender fields), and made great restaurant recommendations. Special shout out to our guide for our Luberon trip, Franck (set up by Roman). He is smart and funny and has lots to say but also doesn't feel the need to talk just for the sake of it. Highly recommend him, particularly if you have teenagers.
Royal Cottage

This hotel isnt perfect. It isn't fancy. It isn't state of the art. But if a beautiful pool is your number one concern - this place more than fits the bill! Breakdown... Room: Pros - Nice and spacious, comfortable bed, always kept clean, and a decent sized bathroom to boot . The large balcony is a great option for late night drinks too! Cons - The toilet is in a small cubicle room separate from the bathroom... Which could, err, get a bit smelly given there was no real way to, ahem, air it out. There's also no ironing board or iron in the room, so I had to iron my shirts in their storage/conference room, which wasnt ideal. Hotel: The website pretends the hotel is far fancier than it is, and it's in fact a very relaxed, down to earth kind of scene. Pros - The staff are VERY friendly and kind. So kind in fact, that one of the owners gave us a lift to the train station so we wouldn't miss our train. What a hero! We love him! Every single one also made an effort to speak English with us (far more effort than we did to speak French!) which we were very grateful for. 24 hour reception means there's always someone around to help you out, and we quite enjoyed the key system, designed so that you'll never lose them! Cons- The breakfast set-up was nice and adequate, although I agree with other reviewers that it's lack of hot food makes the price a bit of an eyebrow raiser. Could two people eat for cheaper than 30 euros in Cassis centre? Potentially, but we chose convenience over cost, so can't really complain too much! Pool: The crowning glory of this hotel, and the spot that we and almost every other guest seemed to congregate... Our valhalla! Our Eden! Our little slice of heaven! Pros- The only thing my girlfriend wanted from this holiday was a nice, relaxing pool area with a sun lounger. So I could have wept with joy the first time we walked up the steps to the Royal's secluded pool area. With ample loungers, pretty water features and the perfectly positioned sun trap, we spent every day of our stay here from 10 - 5. As did so many other guests. Cons - A lack of food or bar service just stops it from being perfect. Other reviews from previous years suggest this was usual practice at one point, so not sure what's happened there? Location: Perfect, just an 8 minute walk from the main harbour of Cassis!

If you are going to Provence -don't miss out on a stay at The Address, a Boutique B & B in Cassis . We checked the reviews before we stayed-they were all Five Star & it still exceeded our expectation. It's situation , accomodation & breakfasts are all amazing & if you want a lazy day by the pool it's perfect. Sabine & Eric were great hosts from the moment we arrived-nothing was too much trouble & they made us feel very welcome & at home.
