The High Hampton resort lived up to my expecatations! since Blackberry Farm took over management, the decor is beautiful and the food is delicious! I was very pleased with my room and bathroom. Service was very good but it is not quite as good as Blackberry Farm service! I would not hesitate to go to this resort again!

This is a very high end and wonderful resort. The food is outstanding, and the accommodations are luxurious. There are plenty of activities or you can just relax and enjoy the views. It has retained all of its historic uniqueness, but it has all the modern conveniences.

We had a wonderful two night stay. We stayed in the Inn. The room was lovely with a very nice bathroom. The blackout curtains were fantastic and kept the room very dark in the mornings! You can hear some neighbors occasionally, but nothing unexpected. The food was amazing. I’m a vegetarian and I had lots of options (which is rare). Friday’s dinner was probably one of the top five meals I have had. Saturday’s meal was good, but not quite as noteworthy. My meat-eating husband also loved his food. The staff appears to be predominantly college kids, but they were all working hard! We stayed for our anniversary and the whole staff wished us a happy anniversary at everyone turn. The pond is stocked with fish; husband went fly flushing once with a staff member and once by himself. The gym was nice, plenty of cardio equipment. As others mentioned, the hiking trails aren’t well marked. All-in-all, a delightful stay.

Our weekend stay at High Hampton was truly delightful. The customer service surpassed all expectations; from the front desk to the restaurant staff, their service was impeccable. The cozy cottages, adorned with holiday decor, added an extra touch of magic to our experience. We're already planning our return in the summer—I highly recommend it

We have a fantastic stay at HH! Our family enjoyed it so much we opted for an additional night. Lynn and Brenna af the FD were so helpful and made us feel so welcome. Carson was a family favorite we went out twice with him and our sons had the best time fishing. Clayton and Aaron were top notch servers in the Inn. We have been to Blackberry (both properties) and frequent many top notch resorts as a family. We all felt very at home and cannot wait to return to this special place. The staff is truly lovely and what makes HH stand out.

This is a complicated review, lots of really good with pockets of shortcomings given price point and blackberry management. First the good. We were in a deluxe king at the inn, was roomy and very comfortable. Friends in one of the cottage rooms found their room more basic and much smaller, would recommend splurging for the deluxe king, incremental price is not much for the extra space. Housekeeping did a good job each day. On property hikes exceeded expectations, with something for all abilities. We loved the more challenging hikes to awesome views but they were not easy. Breakfast service (and quality) was at a very high standard, quick and attentive service. We also had croquet lesson, instructor was very engaging and very good. And just about all of the staff was engaging and very friendly. Had lunch in halstead house which was also good as was the service. Now a few shortcomings, Bar and dinner service in main restaurant was very slow and disorganized. Drinks at bar were good, but took over 20 minutes to get them after we ordered. At dinner, we had brought two bottles of red wine (we ordered a white off the menu) and server asked us who wanted which one of the reds so the sommelier would know when he poured them. We found this odd, and found it odder when after 15 minutes the sommelier arrived and got more of them wrong than right. Would have been much quicker (and accurate) for him to simply go around the table with each bottle and ask each person what they wanted. So a process and communication issue there. Had similar experience with concierge, we left message at front desk after hours with a request, we went back to front desk noon the next day to ask if concierge had responded, front desk checked and said they could see email went to concierge previous night but no response yet which front desk clearly found odd but could not resolve for an hour or two more. Finally, some of our group who stayed in Mayapple requested fire place to be prepared two nights, when they returned from dinner, it was not prepared either night so that was disappointing. So while more space was devoted to shortcomings, I still gave 4 stars as the property itself is outstanding and well maintained, and friends who live in the area say that staffing can be a challenge everywhere once you get later in the season so some of the glitches we experienced may have been isolated. High Hampton is perfect location for on and off property hikes, and if they can improve some of their service inconsistencies to Blackberry standards, could highly recommend.

HH is a lovely resort with everything available. For over 1K per night, however, it left much to be desired. The food, cabins, lounges on the lawn, pool, and golf course were lovely and first class. Golf for guests should be included in a package deal, but that was, instead, another $275 per person per round. The resort has been recently acquired by Blackberry Farm and there seemed to be much going on in transition. Housekeeping was minimal at best. We had a lovely cabin on the river with a dressing room, soaking tub, bedroom, sun room and porch with rockers. The Venetian blinds were covered with dust and the windows covered with bird excrement. The floors were not vacuumed and room minimally cleaned - just fresh towels. We were unable to obtain a massage reservation and there were no laundry facilities. Generally, we felt that the resort caters to the members and not to the guests. The dining room staff were very accommodating and service oriented. Those at the desk, however, were not nearly as helpful. Generally, there is great potential for a first class resort here but the service, cleanliness, and availability of auxilliary services do not meet the expectations of such a price point. There seemed to be many staff wandering about but no one offering service. Disappointing.........
