Finca Cortesin is arguably the best hotel I've ever had the privilege to stay at. From the moment you arrive, you realise this is a special place... If I had to describe it succinctly, I think the term that would do it justice is "understated elegance"... I was told that their repeat booking rate is something like 60-70%... In other words 6-7 out of 10 guests have visited previously, and I also fall in that category... There is a good reason for that! The Executive Suite rooms are basically as big as large apartments in cities like London/NYC and all details have been thought of to make it as comfortable as possible. Onsite restaurants (REI and El Jardin de Lutz) are absolutely first class and you can see why people travel from afar just to dine in these restaurants. Pool 35 is great for lunch and cocktails an loved the Kamado BBQ's offerings. Pair all of this with one of the best golf courses in Spain, tennis/padel facilities and one of the best SPAs in the world, there is plenty to do for everyone. The grounds and gardens are absolutely gorgeous. But if there is one thing that really sets Finca Cortesin apart from the rest, it's the staff. Many of the staff have worked there since the hotel opened and you can just tell that they are working there because they want to work there and they are well looked after by their employer... I think that's what gives Finca Cortesin the edge. It's not cheap, but this is one of those places that if you're trying to budget/bargain prices, it's probably not for you...
