The pictures of this place do not do it justice. What an incredible stay! You feel like you are back in time…the history of this place is so prevalent when staying here. They have done a very good job of refurbishing it with modern amenities while still staying true to the building’s character. The pool is refreshing. The views breathtaking. And the breakfast delightful! We had dinner and it was very good, too! The one suggestion is allowing for a dinner outside. But overall, a very impressive stay!

Beautiful suite on 3rd floor, 360 view on stunning landscape. Although most interiors with antiques the suite with strange modern features and jacuzzi. Arrival the guy at the desk stayed glued to his chair, same when checking out. No intention whatsoever to leave his chair. Guests had to drag their luggage from the parking to the elevator. Last floor had to drag the luggage flight of chairs myself to third. Pool area able to get a drink but without chips or nuts. Restaurant in cellars, interesting, waiters friendly, food quite average. Lobster with summer truffle but had to use my glasses to find any truffle. Pasta with mussels same issue…not one. Main cod in tomato sauce, cod cold and sauce too much tomato puree. Wine from castle was excellent. Breakfast fresh focaccia, cheese and ham, fresh pear juice and decent coffee. Humanity did great things in the past, however maintaining these great things like an old castle is another matter.

Exceptional experience: elegant and suggestive interiors, large and wonderful gardens and outdoor spaces, warm and comfortable room, high-level restaurant, kind and helpful staff. We had a beautiful "Gran Sasso" tasting in the ancient barrel room with high quality products and superlative wines. Surely everything to be repeated even during the summer season, given the presence of the seasonal swimming pool with a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside and hills.

I spent a weekend in this location I would add enchanting. An excellent recovery and refinement in every detail. Thanks to Pietro for the beautiful and skilful tasting of the wines of the Masciarelli / Cvetic company. I really enjoyed the Istrian Malvasia. From him I learned that the name Skiria of some Marina Cvetic products means sparkle in Serbian, understood as the sensation they must instill. Well, in the castle I had the...spark. Very professional staff. I will definitely go back and recommend it.

Really bad! I went with my partner to stay overnight in the suite (more than 300€/night) and to brunch on 01/05. What to say?! In the suite there is no air conditioning system but FANS. Fans, for 300 euros a night (the hostels don't even have them anymore!) The cleaning wasn't great but it wasn't the worst part. The brunch was embarrassing to say the least: 45 euros per person to eat two pieces of bread with ham, a focaccia with chard (which they called "pizze e foje" - I'm afraid they don't even know what they're talking about!), a first course which I've only seen pass because it was finished when I went to get it and never replenished (our table neighbors called it "totally tasteless") two arrosticini each and a piece of cake (pizza doce, it seems!) dry and almost inedible. Even the coffee was terrible. The table from which to serve was always empty and the organization completely improvised. I would also like to talk about the group that entertained us: they performed 4/5 songs at most and then sat down to eat. If this is a brunch and if this is the way to organize an event, I'm Rania Di Jordan. Truly a bad figure for them and for those who advised us to come here. I strongly advise you to do something else with this budget. I am very sorry for the name of Masciarelli and for us who have even come from outside the region for this terrible massacre! A disgrace: A LOT of money BADLY spent!

We booked three nights and were impressed that such poor service is still possible. Coming from the sea, the signage is very poor. We had to turn into a very small and narrow street without any certainty that we were going in the right direction. In Italy you can't turn in narrow streets. Even on the front gate there was no name/reference to the hotel. We had to carry our luggage ourselves from the unshaded parking lot. There was no help and no handcart or the like to transport the suitcases on the sandy paths (about 150 m and then carry them up two floors). When we asked, the current Hogelmananger informed us that this was what the owner wanted. The property and furnishings are overall well done, but with no sense of practical application. The design shower doesn't have any hooks to hang up the bath towels. Our sink didn't drain, we removed a razor blade and dirt, but it was still clogged. Our immediate report did not bring any repairs/remedy even on the 3rd day. The safe was not attached!!! He stood loosely on a wooden board. Justification that this is not necessary, it would not be stolen there. The safe could have been carried away in any shopping bag. We had to get the key from reception first. In the hotel restaurant there were no prices in the menu - illegal. The pool is only open from 10am to 7pm. Swimming before breakfast was not possible. We saw three dogs there, two of them without a leash. When I complained, it was pointed out that the hotel was animal-friendly. The hotel also caters for weddings. As a result, there was a girls farewell with a lot of noise, loud techno music by the pool, all in all obtrusively disturbing. For other guests who did not belong to the girls' group, there was a disturbance and noise pollution.
