Hotels Near Phillips Farms in Cary

This review is hard to write. I stayed many times at this hotel pre-covid, and I loved it. Also, they frequently upgraded me as a platinum member, and it was the case again now as a titanium member. The summary: I want to like this hotel, but I really didn't like this stay or the room I was in. I have other stays already booked here in the coming weeks/months, I will avoid the last floor, hoping this property can make me happy again. During my pre-covid stays, I rated it as a 4. This stay felt more like a 2. The only reason I am ”upgrading” it to a 3 is because my room was upgraded to a suite. The plus: - I was upgraded to a suite on the last floor - The front desk and bar personnel is very friendly - The bed is comfortable - I like the style of the renovated room - Internet, when it works, is fast enough to watch movies or do any work The minus: - Some days, I was disconnected from the internet every couple of hours without being able to reconnect for 5-10 minutes, until it suddenly worked again. While it is not disturbing for leisure activities, it is quite annoying when you get disconnected during a work call. - When I checked in, I had 3 issues: the room phone didn't work, there was a constant 24/7 ventilation noise coming from the bathroom and the toilet was flushing by itself every hour or so. Maintenance came, fixed the toilet, and confirmed the phone was not working (without fixing it) and told me they ”cannot make a noise stop”. A couple of days later, a manager was at the front desk, so I told him I was not seeking any compensation or anything, I just wanted to be transparent on the issues rather than just posting a review online without saying anything. He sent another maintenance person to investigate. I had the most uncomfortable conversation with this employee. I showed the employee where the noise was coming from, and he just looked at me without saying anything. After 20-30 seconds of silence, I asked him: ”Do you hear it as well?” He confirmed, and said it is coming from my neighbors, to which I asked how it could come from my neighbor since the noise was less disturbing in the bedroom facing one neighbor, and in the entrance next to the other neighbor. Then he told me it comes from the neighbor on the other side of the hallway, to which I told him how is that possible since we don't hear the noise in the hallway. He concluded ”then it comes from the roof, there are a lot of things on the roof” without adding anything else. Since this discussion, or lack of discussion, was not going anywhere, I just asked him if he could fix the phone, which he did. - The A/C is very very loud. It didn't disturb me too much, I turned it off before going to bed, but a colleague staying at the same hotel told me it woke him up a couple of times during the night. In order to catch the plane near the airport, the hotel was changed. The night before, I repeatedly confirmed that I needed to go to the airport at 5 am the next morning. The front desk said that it was definitely possible. It had been arranged, but I arrived at the front desk at 5 am the next morning. The driver was not there. The front desk said that she didn't know where the driver was, saying that she would contact the driver again. I didn't call the message, I waited for a long time and there was no news. I was speechless. I could make an appointment with an Uber car to the airport. I didn't apologize at all! There is nothing around the hotel ～

Complete facilities and convenient

The front desk staff are top notch. Beds are comfy and temp control is great. Handicap accessible bathroom and desk space.

I checked into this hotel 3 Sundays ago. I parked in front of camera on the side of building. Went up to the room, came back down and went to Walmart. Went back to room and was there about an hour. About 5:30 or so I was going to get some dinner. Someone had tried to break in my driver's side and passenger's front windows were cracked. My back passenger's window was busted and someone had opened my center console and glove box. I didn't want to have my vehicle parked there overnight so I talked to front desk person who said she would see about getting me a credit for the room since I didn't stay. I have called 5 times, leaving messages with person who answered the phone each time and last time was this Monday I left a voice mail on managers phone. Still no reply. I have an office in Cary since 2015 and have stayed at this hotel over 100 times. Yet they don't think I'm important enough to return my calls. Not a good way to run a business.

Just like any other Hampton Inn, with the exceptional and professional customer care from the reception desk staff, and Silvana, a lovely person, jack of all trades whom you will find during the breakfast service greeting everyone and making sure you're well taken care of, and also driving the hotel shuttle. I was there for business with an international group and she was very kind to our group members. Her Portuguese and Spanish skills came in very handy with our group. She definitely adds a human touch to the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a Wingate by Wyndham Garner/Raleigh South. From the moment I stepped into the lobby until the day of my departure, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the entire establishment. The first thing that struck me was the warm and welcoming atmosphere as I entered the hotel. The staff at the front desk greeted me with smiles and were helpful. In the room the linens were fresh, the surfaces were spotless, and the overall cleanliness was impeccable. It was evident that the hotel placed a high priority on maintaining a hygienic environment for its guests. Throughout my stay, I also explored the hotel's facilities. The dining area, fitness center, and lounges were all clean and well-organized. Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, you can rest assured that your stay at this hotel will be an enjoyable and memorable one.
