Starting off, I did not like that their app said it was contactless check-in; a code would be sent; & I would use my phone to access my room. I waited all day for a code that never came. Upon arriving at the hotel, I was told none of that was true.
Secondly, I called down to the desk to ask for scissors to use for a few minutes. I was told I had to come use them at the desk. This was a huge imposition as I had blisters on the bottom of my feet and need the scissors to cut the shoe insoles I purchased. The older gentleman who was at the desk by the time I got fully dressed and hobbled down to the desk was nice, though.
Lastly, when I arrived back to my room the second night, it was the same way I’d left it earlier that morning. Used towels & both trash cans by the door; bed unmade; hair on bathroom floor. No one bothered to come clean my room; discard the trash; or bring more towels/washcloths.
The first night I arrived in Raleigh, I stayed in my brother’s room at the Springhill - Raleigh Apex. The decor in his room was a lot nicer and he said his room had been cleaned when he got back. While I would not recommend the Springhill - Cary to anyone who cares about good service, I would recommend Springhill - Raleigh Apex.
