Mucura Hotel & Spa

The hotel is definitely on the more humble side. The lobby area doesn’t have AC so it’s hot and you can get mosquitos on you from the open doors. The breakfast is always the same and limited. You can only have a small plate of 1-2 fruit, egg with one other thing (arepa, bread or a waffle). The rooms are small but the AC works great. The wifi can be bad at times and the TV doesn’t always work. The bedsheets and some towels have stain on them. I didn’t see any bugs in the room but the cleaning of the sheets need to be improve. The hot water goes off very quick. The kitchen ladies are very nice and attentive. They try their best & are creative with the limited menu . The workers EDWARD and LUIS were AMAZING. We loved them. They have such an amazing personality , always had a great energy (super early & very late hours) , funny , attentive and they were the best part of the hotel. The hotel experience in general is a 2-3/5 stars and Edward and Luis are 5/5 star employees. The hotel is very lucky to have employees that make guests feel that they had a good experience here despite the hotel itself not meeting our standards. Without them I’m not sure if we would have liked it here. It is also 15+mins from all the attractions. We walked around at night & no issues. It’s a 9 minute walk to the airport. Also make sure to read the contract because nothing that you ask for it’s free. They will charge you at the end.

What a amazing place! We stayed with my family and we enjoyed everything there! The staff was very helpful and pacient, they were really nice with us. The breakfast it was delicious, the spa was pretty good as well

Located in a quiet area, we found this beautiful hotel with spa just outside the center of Cartagena. It offers a free jacuzzi, breakfast, king beds, and secure parking for about 3 cars. The staff are wonderful, and especially senor Fred who is making sure your stay is wonderful and your coffee is well done and free all day :-)

Excellent service and spot to stay for a night - particularly if you’re using the airport. Option for using the jacuzzi and spa is a nice touch too. Staff were all friendly and Freddie went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. Being able to leave our bags whilst we visited San Andres was super helpful!

The stay was very relaxing with a comfortable bed and free breakfast. The staff was very friendly and responsive to our needs and the hot tub was the first I’ve been to in Cartagena that was actually hot! It felt great in the evening after completing a virtual work day in the hotel room. If you’re looking for a quick place to stay with family it’s a great affordable option.

My friends and I booked this hotel for a day stay. We booked for a couple hours so we could store our luggage while we waited for our airbnb to be ready at 3PM. We checked in at 10AM. Check in was easy and seemless and we paid in pesos. The hotel is very small and quaint but the pictures on the site did not reflect what we were given. Granted, it worked for a couple hours so it was what it was. But before check in they leave doors open to unoccupied rooms which allows bugs to fly in. We had a swarm of mosquitoes on our ceiling. The wall were dirty and marked up and there was an open can of cat food on the shelf! The young last at the front desk was VERY nice and helpful but didn’t speak much english. We did tip her because she tried her best to help us. Wouldn’t book here again though.
