Posada la Fe

Kind, courteous staff. Only stayed here one night when arriving in Cartagena before heading to the islands. Wish we had come back here for the second part of our trip in Cartagena. Convenient location to lively nightlife, restaurants, etc yet no right on the corner and rooms are away from the street so they are *quiet* at night.

I stayed at Posada La Fe at the end of January. The hotel is on one of the most popular streets in the Getsemani neighborhood of Cartagena. The hotel is extremely clean, has a nice aesthetic, plus really nice toiletries. I really like the decor in the room with beautiful art of Cartagena. The staff are very nice and made me feel at home. As other reviewers mentioned, the hotel cleaning/breakfast staff mostly speak Spanish but will make every effort to understand you and help you if your Spanish is limited like mine. The hotel has a nice rooftop pool with a view of the city. Also, there are loungers on the rooftop. In addition, there are a few beautiful sitting areas. I love the open concept of the hotel. Despite the open concept, I didn’t see any bugs. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious and had enough options to keep me satisfied for my three night stay. The street comes a live at night with street performers and the surrounding restaurants/bars with outdoor seating right next to the hotel. However, from my ground floor room I didn’t hear any significant noise. The music from the street was extremely faint and I could sleep without earplugs. I really enjoyed my stay and plan to stay here again when I return to Cartagena.

Having stayed in a hostel, I decided to have my last night in Cartagena and Colombia somewhere a bit more comfortable. Some friends had stayed at the Posada La Fe a few years ago and it came highly recommended. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to arrange a taxi. As my flight wasn't till the evening, they let me check-out a little later and then allowed me to come back and get changed/freshened up. Breakfast was delicious and of good quality. The bedroom was a lovely size, quaint and the bed very comfortable. There was also a lovely little rooftop pool. The hotel is on a very busy, fun street but it wasn't noisy at all - more like a peaceful, calm environment. I'd recommend to anyone visiting Cartagena and would return.

Sweet small property with kind staff. I left an item and they called me. This would be perfect boutique hote if it wasn't on the BUSIEST LOUDEST street in the neighborhood. If you don't want to party until 2am. Wednesday through Sunday, you may need a different place to sleep.the bass comes through the walls and ear plugs. But we're 50, and maybe we are too old cuz it was too loud.
