Hampton Inn & Suites North Conway

Welcoming, friendly, lots of smiles from the staff. The room is great. It;s clean and everything works. At breakfast - Barb is great. We are retired and travel a great deal. We try to stop at Hampton Inns because they are consistently good. This property sets the standard for all Hampton Inns - and for all mid range family motels. Great job!

The rooms are spacious, the transportation is convenient, and the parking spaces are sufficient. There are many restaurants next to the main road and the hotel's breakfast is not bad.
North Conway Mountain Inn

The North Conway Mountain Inn is pretty great, here's why: 1. I live in Bronx, NY. I never had been to the White Mountains area. I called the North Conway Mountain Inn just to get some info about the area and ideas and the guy on the phone was so nice and thorough that I actually felt bad not booking a room. So I called back and I did... 2. I arrived at the North Conway Mountain Inn 4 days later and was checked in by a woman named Alyssa. She too was very nice and friendly and the whole process was welcoming and seamless. 3. I then proceeded to my room, on the second floor, with a door that enters from the outside, no hallways to walk down or elevators to use, GREAT !! The room was older but large, clean, and very comfortable. The balcony was just wonderful with a breathtaking view. I sat out there for hours with my kindle. 4. Upon checkout I met the guy I had spoke to on the phone who was actually the owner. He told me so much about the area, then when I told him I was from the Bronx, he told me he was Italian and told me about pasta recipes and how to make the perfect Sunday gravy. He was so sweet and humble. 5. The North Conway Mountain in is close to ”downtown” and all the shops and restaurants and a vintage train station. This is probably my favorite place I have stayed. I am going to try to go back this summer and can't wait.
North Conway Grand Hotel

This is where parents go to drink and play on their phones while not watching their kids in the pool. It’s truly a dumpster fire. There is no staff there to ensure the safety of kids. Want to hear non-stop screaming? This is the place. This is not a place for a romantic stay, quiet, or peace. Highly do not recommend for couples! It’s non-stop slamming doors, noise, and chaos. The hotel restaurant was also closed, which really stinks as there are not enough breakfast places in town. We love North Conway, but this place is a zoo.
Purity Spring Resort

Our Boy Scout troop stayed at this resort, 31 boys and 9 adults, for a weekend ski trip. We stayed at the ”Tecumsah” lodge, which contained no-frills rooms which were perfect for a large family- or friends-group such as ours. Our group was large enough to take over most of the lodge. All of the rooms contained a full-sized bed and one- or two- sets of bunk-beds (though our room contained a full, a twin, and a bunk bed). Most of the bunk-beds were wooden and sturdy, but some of the rooms with two ”real” beds are metal. The wooden bunk beds were comfortable for an adult to sleep on, but the metal bunk bed frames were really only comfortable for a child, so make sure which kind of bunk-frame the room you are booking has as an adult will be uncomfortable on the metal-framed bunk version. Food was served in the huge dining hall downstairs and was adequate and tasty. Staff was friendly and helpful, though only present during the day. Breakfast each day consisted of scrambled eggs, a meat, a starch (french toast, pancakes, waffles), and some kind of porridge. There was a large coffee maker available all day until it ran out after-hours, as well as juice, cocoa, and tea available 24:7, as well as fresh fruit. Lunch was also similarly adequate and tasty; as was supper. Not 5-star hotel fare, but perhaps a very well-run cafeteria with better-quality ingredients? They are able to accommodate gluten and dairy allergies if you give the kitchen staff enough notice. Each room had its own bathroom. There were also two bathrooms available on the first floor, one in the dining hall, the other kind of tucked away next to the front office. There was another Girl Scout troop staying in the lodge behind us as the same time as our, as well as several related family-groups in the lodge across the street The boys really enjoyed the pool in the main lodge (down the street), though it was so cold the weekend we were there we drove down the hill. The tubing park (part of King Pine Ski Area) was a short walk out the back of the lodge, though with the ski portion, we were lazy and drove to the bottom of the hill (but you could walk if you wanted to). We will come back here again next year. My only gripe is the pillows were kinda ”meh.” We'll come back next year, but I'll probably pack my own pillow from home.
Residence Inn North Conway

We have been to North Conway many times over the years. This was our first stay here at the Residence Inn Marriott. I have Celiac disease, so I have to very careful not to consume gluten. Usually, the breakfast buffets at these hotels are not safe for me to eat or don't offer too many GF options. I asked Kristen about GF options and she could not have been more helpful. She provided the ingredient labels from the items I was interested in. They even have Udi's GF bagels and blueberry muffins that are individually packaged. The best part was they brought out a dedicated GF toaster that they keep in the back! What a great experience thanks to Kristen for taking the time to explain all the GF options they have to offer. We will definitely be back here!
