I booked a 3 night stay in the landmark for my daughters wedding having been to carrick on Shannon numerous times over the years I always thought I would like to book a stay but the stars never aligned until my daughters wedding , I have to say when you walk in it’s lovely staff are very friendly and helpful food was good but the accommodation is very tired you expect more when your paying nearly 500 euros for 3 nights . In the Bathroom-the coating on the bath was peeling the silicone around the bath was terrible the tiles where chipped and mix n matched where they must have done a repair the bottom of the door frame was grubby with the paint peeling . The sleeping area has paint peeling and marks to the walls the bottom of the windows where black the only heat is an electric radiator in the corner of the room which I thought was broken and didn’t work that was until I woke up in the early hours boiling hot I had to open all the windows to cool the room the thermostat on the heater is so far down you can’t see what temperature it is at l now realised it must be on a timer so if you go back to your room in the afternoon and it’s a good old Irish day you just stay cold the general maintenance of the room is not what you expect from a 4 star hotel

Where to begin. We have had the very best time and we are gutted that it is all over. From the outset and our 1st visit to the Landmark Hotel, we were made to feel so welcome. Denice had set up the room for a dummy Wedding so that we could get the full view of how the room looked and what they had to offer. This straight away set us off on a good note. We fell in Love with the Hotel and with Denice. We knew we were in safe hands. We paid our deposit straight away, cancelled our other venue appointments as we knew that there was no where else we were even interested in viewing after we had been to the Landmark. Our Wedding was 18 months in the making, and having been based in England meant that we communicated with Denice mainly via email. To say that absolutely every email we sent, Denice would come back to us within 24 hours and nothing we asked for was ever too much trouble. Denice is hands down the Best out there. She is an absolute credit to the Landmark hotel. We travelled over for the food tasting. We added 2 extra people who were extremely important to us to be part of the food choices. This was absolutely no issue with Denice. We had our own private area within the main hotel restaurant, We had our own waiter who explained every wine option and every meal option in fine detail so that we had all information that would help us make a decision. We arrived to the Hotel 2 days before the wedding as we had to travel over from England, We were welcomed with open arms, Staff came to unload our car for us (Which was packed to the top) Things for the wedding day were stored in the hotel for us so that they didnt clog up our bedroom. The Day of the wedding. The room was set up perfectly and our own additional add ons were dealt with without even asking. Denice visited both of our rooms to make sure that we were all ok and that we were running on time and to see if we needed anything. She came and got both of us when it was time for us to leave our rooms. She made sure that we didnt see each other and had this perfectly planned with her staff. We did things a little differently and we both walked down the isle at the same time but from different ends of the room. This wasnt a problem for Denice and she co-ordinated this perfectly for us. The Day just went perfectly, there is absolutely nothing that we have said that we wished we had done differently and this down to Denice and her organising. She made sure we had some alone time with our bridal parties away from having photos etc, she always made sure we had a drink. She stay with us right up until the band started. We had Scruffy Duffy entertain the room during the meal. Im sure that this is an absolute nightmare for the kitchen to work with but it ran like clockwork. Our guests have also commented on how well the whole day ran and how amazing the hotel and all the staff were. We are extremely grateful to Denice and all the staff at the Landmark for their hard work in making our day just

My husband and I had a lovely dinner in the restaurant and I must say I loved the fast service and the lovely selection of food. I had a nice conversation with one of the servers Dylan, he was a very sweet boy. I would recommend to family and friends.

I was here with my family for food and drinks after the funeral of our beloved uncle. The food and service was outstanding. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive. Two of the girls Sarah and Chloe were so efficient and helpful. There was a lot of us and they looked after us all impeccably. I felt bad we asked for so much but they gave us everything with a smile on their face. Thank you to the Landmark for taking care of my family so well on such a hard day.

Me and my wife had an absolutely lovely time staying at the hotel, the hotel was beautiful and my wife loved taking pictures of it The food was delicious and our waitress Ciara was so accommodating and friendly, will definitely be going again! 🦋💙

Most beautiful hotel with fabulous staff. Our river view room was so cosy and spotless. This was one thing we noticed on our visit.. Cleaning staff were constant. Dinner and breakfast was superb and a great choice. We will be back very soon again to experience more of the best. Shout out to Ciara on dinner serving and Nicole on reception, two staff members who made our visit memorable.. thank you.

Great Location, with a really nice ambiance. We had a lovely room overlooking the Shannon. Bed was very comfortable and everything was spotlessy clean. Dinner was superb, with lots of choice. We were attending an event and again it was a very pleasant evening with great entertainment from "The Legends"
