This is a fairly basic hotel with a steep, winding staircase and rather cramped rooms, but the beds were comfortable and we slept well. The location right in the centre of town with its own car park is ideal. The restaurant is good and so is the bar with a good choice of beer. Unfortunately the staff's careless attitude lets the place down. There were two good ones, the barman and one of the waitresses, who genuinely made an effort, but the rest behaved as though they couldn't care less and having to serve the guests was really a drag. We may look elsewhere when we next stay in Carmarthen.

A good location in the town with a reasonable free car park. The hotel is a little dated and this shows in places. We ate both ate Dinner and Breakfast which were of a reasonable standard. Good range of drinks as well. There is some noise from other residents late at night and into the early hours (there was a wedding nearby and many guests stayed here).

Amazing food. Cosy, well looked after, staff amazing and well priced. Best food on Lammas street. Shame only here until Thursday 22nd August. Will have to come back as a tourist rather than work next time!! Even though I was on my own, staff made me so welcome

Had a few carverys as well as meals here over the years and the food never fails - nice homemade chips, good portion size and plenty of choice when it comes to the carvery with the veg and plenty of choice on the menu. Highly recommend always look forward to come here.

Lovely, newly refurbished room with a huge, very comfortable double bed. Hotel bar was busy on Saturday night and thus noisy, but not a problem with ear plugs. Sunday night much quieter and equally fine. Excellent breakfast quality. Hard working staff. Thank you for a very nice stay.

The room we had was clean, neat and tidy, the evening meal was pleasant and sensibly priced and the next morning's breakfast was top notch. What more could you want? I'm told (by Trip Advisor) I need to burble on until I reach 200 characters, so here's my burble. What's wrong with being short and to the point?

A comfortable stay spoilt by unhelpful hotel. The hotel has no on street parking and a small tight car park. My car was damaged and the driver left NO details. Despite constantly asking for the hotel CCTV to be reviewed and continual promises that it would be done both whilst there and since; after 4 weeks only broken promises and my calls never returned. Leads one to ask what doesn't the hotel wish me to know?, how often does this happen? Etc If you travel by car avoid, an expensive visit.

Stayed here for one night while working in the area with two colleagues.Very friendly staff, good selection of drinks in the bar.The food was amazing and great value for money. Very clean room and comfortable bed. I would definitely come back for a weekend stay.
