Our stay was lovely, we were visiting family so the hotel was in the perfect location to get back to the Motoway to go visit them! Check in was great! The lady on reception was very welcoming and polite. Our room was as you would expect a premier inn room. The bathroom however was quite frankly dirty. The floor was dirty and sticky to walk on. The bath still has ‘tide marks’ around it from previous guests and the toilet had toilet roll down it. The pub next to the hotel was great. Polite, great service and good choice of menu. I would definitely recommend and return but hopefully next time the bathroom will be clean!

Plenty of free parking 👍🏼 Don't arrive before 15.00 hoping to check in. No matter how long and far you've driven. No matter if you're 4 hours or 4 minutes early. No matter if the room is ready. You will have to pay £10.00 for early check-in. The hotel is hardly 'central'. The castle is 20/25 minute walk away and it's a little further to the cathedral. The hotel would seriously benefit from a refurb and modernisation inside and out. Plenty of free parking though.

We only wanted an over night stay , and I usually stay in a premier inn knowing that the rooms are clean & pleasant to stay in and of course the beds are always clean & comfortable…. Sadly the bathroom let us down this time … I made the receptionist aware of this issue on leaving !

Brian the receptionist was incredibly helpful and kind upon arrival, the hotel is in a great location and lots of space for parking, the room was quiet and the food in the resteraunt was brilliant, would recommend to anyone staying in the area, would stay again

I am outing PREMIERE INN. You cannot check in until 3pm normally (but you can check in earlier if you shell out £10 ) however travelling from England to Scotland precludes that option. So, you can ‘t check in til 3pm. You are staying 3 nights which usually means a quiet room, leaving one nighters to rooms close to reception. Not here. strike one, first room by Reception door. Strike two. Finding water running from the base of the toilet, towards the door as you open it, and water running into bowl constantly. HOW THIS ROOM IS PASSED OK FOR OCCUPANCY IS A CRIME! Strike three. So we turn around and go back to reception. THIS IS THE BIGGY. At 3 pm all-other staff GO HOME. So, whatever your complaint - hard luck, you are stuck with it until next day. NO EXTRA BEDS MADE UP! Whatever your issue you can NOT be moved because they do not make up extra. We had a TWIN. Big deal no more ready. Passing trade?? So, we were unable to unpack and relax. Spoke to customer service. GUESS WHAT? CANNOT RECTIFY DURING STAY. CAN ONLY DEAL WITH COMPLAINTS RETROSPECTIVELY! Way to go PI. You invest our up-front money, but NO help once you have paid it and arrive, as advised, after 3pm. Staff all very apologetic, but can do NOTHING. This trip was paid for by our boys for their dad’s BIG milestone birthday. Upset, on edge. During night, the constantly running toilet gives a “babbling brook” commentary all night! No sleep. Next day. We will get you a new room. What about an upgrade to floor 2, PREMIERE PLUS? No authority says Macenzie. Customer service agrees but does not know configuration of hotel (!) so can do nothing. FINALLY room move agreed and offer to move luggage for these pensioners. So, basically one day plus, lost from holiday with upset. Clothes super creased for not unpacking on first night. Unacceptable to be made to stay in unhygienic room with toilet water leaking. Only stop-gap, putting hotel towels round bowl til morning. I have 5 days to lodge complaint, but have already done so with Keira at customer services IT CAN TAKE 25 DAYS FOR THEM TO GET BACK TO ME. PLUS, KEIRA GIVES ME CASE NUMBER SO I CAN RING AT END OF HOLIDAY TO ADD EXTRAS! Now there’s confidence in your product! I have to point out that nearly all of our previous stays at Premiere Inn have been satisfactory, apart from Restaurant, but that’s another tale. The scales have fallen from my eyes now. So, if you can, go early before the staff go home, otherwise you are stuck with your issue.

Great stop off point that’s close to the city centre. Very friendly staff that accommodated us very well. Clean and reasonably priced rooms too. Got there before check in time so went into the restaurant next door for a drink. Also very helpful staff

Used this hotel while here for a family gathering, room are great, smelt very clean and well presented. Also felt nice and warm when entering on a cold night. The team on the desk and those we came into contact with were all so friendly and polite
