Hotel Metropole

This was one of our favorite hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The location was perfect-very walkable, but still quiet. The hotel staff went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The hotel smells like mold we booked a junior suite was the most horrifying experience we lasted 15 min we ran away as I had a hastma crisis and went to the ER then checked in a stunning hotel close by.we were charged and they didn’t even offered a refund SHAME

My wife and I had a Fantastic week at this hotel with breakfast and evening meal . The waterfront location and beautiful landscaped gardens make it a stunning setting ,we had an excellent room with a balcony overlooking the bay. The hotel staff were all so friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for you . The breakfast choice was vast and the four course waiter served evening meal something to really look forward to after a days sight seeing . It’s a great location for visiting the Cinque Terre , portofino and Camogli, there is a train station near the hotel but we used the ferries and local buses to get around . We are looking forward to visiting this hotel again in the near future.

The Hotel metropole is in a good location just a few minutes walk from the shops and restaurants and centre of Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel has parking although it’s quite expensive what’s good is you don’t have to worry about parking you leave your keys with reception and they will sort it out for you. When we left the concierge brought the car to hotel front door for us which was a nice thing to do. The hotel has a lovely outdoor pool and you can also use the indoor pool, sauna and steam room in the spa you just need to book a slot. We were told the slot was for an hour but we weren’t hurried at all. The gardens are really well kept and look amazing. There is also a sunbathing area right on the sea with access to swim in the sea as well. Our room was really clean and well maintained and some traditional features had been kept which helped with character of the room. The room overlooked the pool and garden and had a spacious balcony to sit and admire the view. The hotel includes breakfast which was a good selection and kept well topped up and provided a good start to the day. The hotel has a nice restaurant although we didn’t eat there the menu had a good choice and there is a bar down by the sea which was nice for drinks. Santa Margherita is a lovely town with lots of shops and restaurants and you can get the ferry to Portofino and Rapallo. We walked to Portofino which took about 1hr walking slowly and has great views along the way.

We always stay in metropole where possible and stayed in the Sicily one last summer they don’t disappoint. Excellent hotel, great location nice rooms staff were amazing and helped us check in early pool was nice and clean breakfast was good too, only bad thing I have to say is we payed for a sea view room and was more of a tree view room which was abit disappointing never the less we would recommend

A really nice hotel with excellent views across the bay, the staff were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was very good with a wide selection of food, outside the pool area is clean and inviting. The lift to the third floor where our room was located was quite small and dated but it added to the charm of the hotel.

... helpful staff, and much more. We stayed several days as a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) in a garden suite room. It was the best time to be there - end/June and the flowers were beautiful around the hotel and weather was perfect. The room allowed us to have a garden exit to the beach club, which we took advantage of daily to go swimming and get some sun after sightseeing. The breakfast buffet was very nice, outside overlooking the garden and with water views. We also had one dinner at the hotel - the food was very nice and service perfect. There are many restaurants in SML that are fun to walk to, but sometimes it is nice to relax at the hotel and the Metropole was wonderful.

I'm so pleased we chose The Metropole. The location is great. As short walk from the station and very close to the main town. The staff are incredibly well trained and they are attentive and helpful. The owner was always present and casting an eye over proceedings. We chatted to him and his passion and caring was evident in the way he runs the place. The spa (and heated pool) and private beach are amazing. Breakfasts were a delight. Served on the outside patio, with wonderful staff and an awesome selection of tasty food. The room was well presented, clean and spacious. There is absoltely nothing to fault about this hotel
