Lauren was amazing - found us a room that we could check into around 7am when our flight was cancelled a couple of hours earlier. Lauren even printed our new boarding passes for us. Lovely staff member. Room was small but fine, no extra pillows were available though. Bathroom shower was lovely - very powerful :) Air con said 18 degrees but I’m not sure it was quite that cool. Location is excellent and great value for money. Again, kudos to Lauren! Remember - no restaurant on site but PLENTY of options on the doorstep!

I stayed in hotel indigo on the 5th - 7 th October and my stay was absolutely awful I stayed with my family and we was put into 2 different rooms on completely different floors my room was on 5th floor and my family members was on 1st floor, Each room was absolutely vile, clannishness of the rooms was absolutely disgusting, dust everywhere, my shower and room wasn’t cleaned to the standards it should of been cleaned to as a guest who’s staying. They didn’t empty the bins, they didn’t even clean the sink left all my tooth paste. Anyway back to the clannishness of the room, the head board to the bed was so dusty I could pick it off myself with my fingers and there was little hairs in my shower and first I thought I’d leave it until it got worse and I started to look around the room few days later now I’ve stayed in another hotel and realised actually how bad the cleansing actually is at hotel indigo so now I’ve decided to actually report it, im not one to moan at reception it’s something I’d personally keep to myself but I’ve realised how bad this hotel actually is though I’d leave a little review. I will attach photos that I did take.

On arrival very small car park luckily one parking space left, Outside looks very run down, I was initially pleasantly surprised when walking in, the lobby looked very clean and tidy around the reception desk, until we saw the beer all over the floor and dirty cups on tables from the free coffee (we’ll get to the bit) There was a large group of “stag” goers ahead of us, who clearly hadn’t booked rooms as they were trying to work out what rooms were available, there was one lady trying her best to sort the group out with 3 other staff watching her, we waited for around 10mins Until an exasperated look from a party member towards who looked like the manager prompted him to use the hand held device to book us in, A key card was given …. No directions to my room, no info on breakfast times, no other info at all …. Just crack on …. I walked through the mini Lake District of beer to the lift, swiped my card and waited 2-3 mins …. The screen wasn’t working and the lift didn’t come so I used the stairs to the 4th floor, Found my “room” when I walked in it’s tiny, budget is the word, this was beyond budget, not even a mini kettle, the sink is in the room as is the shower, with a separate toilet cubicle, the frosted glass on the shower is made more so by the build up of lime Scale and watermarks no handle just a hole to use, this is ok as I’m alone but the other party had a 14yr old lad in a “family” room so not really acceptable in my eyes, the cubical was VERY small, my friend could barley get in, at 110kg but a power lifter he’s broad but not “huge” I’m 6ft 1 wear a large t-shirt and found it hard to shower In it. The room are run down, probably nice a few years ago (has wood chip wallpaper) . The skirting is coming away scuff marks every where, dust on the very small archaic tv, the air con unit didn’t work and the toilet rolls Sat on the floor behind the cistern (despite there being a hook to put them on) There was a “stool” that looked like an upturned washing bin, to a small desk I could only find 2 plugs I know the whole Room, couldn’t charge my watch/phone and iPad over night, (yes small Inconvenience but still annoying) The tv wouldn’t get a picture, I went to the front desk but no one was there, I bumped into the night porter earlier who seemed very friendly though so I’m guessing he was busy elsewhere. So I thought “ooh I’ll grab a coffee while I’m here”, small sachets of Nescafé original and plastic milk, I’ll pass thanks, Bed basic and comfy enough, not like Home but I suppose it is a budget hotel, The breakfast looked dire, continental for £6.50, I’ll hit the coop over the road or McDonald’s on the way home, All for an extortionate £140, there was an event on close by and this may have bumped the price a little but by 90£ on the base rate of £52 is crazy greed Needless to say I shall not be staying in one again, I Hope the normal ibis I have booked next month is better

Disastrous first booking with trip.com! Travelled with my Daughter and her friend, arrived only to be told there was only a king size bed, room too small for the 3 of us. On booking, the search engine was defaulted to 2 adults, so this was amended accordingly. Thankfully there was a spare room.to accommodate at an additional cost of £30, oh and parking was £10! Not the budget stay I originally thought it to be. Please be careful. Accommodation top class, clean, fresh, beautiful with attention to detail.

Just returned from a 3 night stay, was in Cardiff for a family wedding. Have to say the staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. Wedding was on Friday and the maltsters arms very kindly allowed us to have dinner with them on Saturday night, there was 18 of us!!! Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff for the most amazing food, from starters to desserts and delicious drinks and cocktails 5 stars. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. The manager sorry can’t remember your name, was friendly and helpful. Lastly to Ben for his hospitality and professionalism in helping to book us all in on Saturday night, it was a wonderful ending to all of our trip to beautiful Cardiff. I stayed here Friday night as I was attending a wedding. There was limited accommodation available in Cardiff city centre due to a few events being on and all the hotels I usually stay at were either fully booked or had tripled in price so I stayed here. I arrived at just gone 4 to drop my case off and freshen up as it was 35°! I was greeted by a lovely lady and directed to my room on the second floor. Yes the hotel isn't suitable for those with mobility issues, but this is clearly stated on sites as there is no lift. My room, linen and towels were spotlessly clean. Plenty of tea and coffee supplied and 2 bottles of water which was welcome because of the heat. There was also a fan in the room which you don't get in many hotels and again very welcome. I went to the reception returning at 1am and greeted by the night Watchman, another lovely member of staff who asked if I'd enjoyed the wedding and let me in a few time after while I popped out for cigarettes and chatted. I usually book a double room but none were available but the beds were 3/4 so plenty of room. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep until 7am. I was woken by the property next door making an awful lot of noise for half an hour. Not the hotels fault and I believe they supply ear plugs if you ask, as I was at the back I didn't ask. After a lovely shower I packed up and went to check out. Check out, like check in was speedy with the same lovely lady who asked how the wedding had been. Left my bags there while I went shopping and picked them up a couple of hours later. I had a phone call after that as I'd left my spare phone in the room. Unfortunately I was on the way home but she arranged for my cousin to pick it up. I will definitely stay again. Cheaper than my usual hotels and just as close to the shops and pubs.

Very good location and everything very good for its price. The only bad thing is that you can't leave your suitcases at the accommodation if you arrive before or leave after.

I booked for a one night stay with nine family members the night before a funeral. All our rooms were lovely, ( my cousins room smelled of smoke but they changed her room quickly , quite late in the evening too, so no complaints there ) . My Aunt needed a wheelchair accessible room and again no problems. My room was a large double with a sofa, it would have slept four but I had it to myself, it cost the same as a single so why not have extra space. It had great air con, a good quality tv, tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely shower room ( clever design ) , a hair drier, everything you’d need and expect for a reasonably priced chain hotel. Free parking and plenty of it ( do not forget to put your reg into the iPad at reception ) . The free breakfast was great, buffet style with bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt and fruit. The only downside was it’s out of the town the only place in walking distance is the pub next door, however the pub next door is fantastic, with beautiful food which I thought was very reasonable considering the excellent quality. The hotel also serves food and has a bar. To summarise it’s a great hotel, with great facilities, I paid £99 through bookings.com , others in our party paid less and some more, between £97 a room to £125 , but we all got value for money.

After a few visits to Cardiff staying in various iffy hotels in the city centre we returned to The Future Inn last night - and have vowed to stay nowhere else from now on!! Firstly it's so easy from J33 M4 and the parking is spacious and FREE - Yes FREE!! Easy check in from an on-line flexible booking, reasonable rate. Friendly staff, large rooms, right temperature, very clean and good facilities (Welsh bottled water, kettle/hot drinks, nice bickies). Very good breakfast - using Welsh Ingredients. Also another plus point - Very easy to get to the city centre (Queen Street), using the shuttle train 4mins, from Cardiff Bay - Queen Street. The station is literally ＜5mins from The Future Inn & runs until midnight - about every 10mins or so. Cheap tickets (book ahead/use railcard) = £4 return for 2 people. Really enjoyed our stay & will be booking another stay later tonight. Well done The Future Inn!!

Spacious. Deep colour fixtures plus not bright lighting makes the room very dark (I prefer bright environment). Some light bulbs are not functioning. The telephone system is out of order. No pen no paper. The food in the restaurant is OK.
