The first room we were allocated was absolutely awful, the smell, dilapidated decor and cleanliness was horrendous. Thankfully the gentleman on duty at reception happily re accommodated us to a much fresher room (I hate to complain about anything but it really was that uninhabitable that I had to say something, my poor daughter was crying). The bath in our new room was still unclean and grimy (I used the bath mat and soap to clean it but cracked tiles, grout, etc a major issue) All of the rooms and reception area, seem extremely dated and do smell damp. The staff were pleasant though and bedding was clean. Unfortunately it’s not a great venue overall.

I really enjoyed my stay, all staff were very kind and friendly. Room was clean and it had everything i needed. Next time i’ll be coming to Cardiff i’ll definitely come back to this hotel

We were delighted to find such cheap accommodation in Cardiff and would stay again as it's affordable and convenient. The staff were friendly and helpful and Dona who was on check in explained that we could use the bar area to eat if we ordered takeaway etc. You do have to pay extra for parking which wasn't disclosed before arrival, but it's only £5 for 24 hours. Be aware that the parking is on an incline also. The main areas of the room such as the beds and bathroom were clean, however there was considerable dust on some surfaces which obviously get overlooked, such as on top of the headboard. An additional plus was that the rooms weren't overly hot or stuffy like certain chain hotels.

We had a wonderful stay, and Dona at reception made it even better. She was so friendly and helpful throughout our visit. One moment that really stood out was when we saw her comforting a guest who was upset—her genuine empathy was heartwarming. She truly cares about guests and represents the hotel’s values beautifully. Car park cost £5 ...room smelt musty,cold, dated and grimey,heard people talking in the next room walls paper thin. Travelled with my daughter and felt very unsafe and vulnerable so left after a couple of hours and stayed in a holiday inn at last minute ..A very costly mistake booking here..

Pretty run down. Bathroom floor was slippery, carpet was full of years worth of stains. Bed was actually comfy I paid for breakfast, regretfully. The breakfast tasted like everything is precooked in the fridge without being covered because everything had a weird taste. Didn't eat it.
