Went for our evening meal whilst staying in hayle. Absolutely gorgeous food, excellent quality , piping hot and generous portion size . The atmosphere was friendly , relaxed and the staff were welcoming and attentive with no sense of feeling rushed, will definitely be going again.

Stayed for our 40th wedding anniversary had a great stay was upgraded to a sea view room when we arrived. The food & decor are both great very comfortable bed. We used the spa which was included at the carbis bay hotel it was the best spa j have Been in all outside heated pool overlooking the sea. Had lunch in the orangey which was OK & quite expensive for what you get. Would return but maybe a lower floor Seaview room as alot of stairs & no lift.

Stayed here in November for a birthday night away. A few issues regarding the meal, the wine and the room. Have raised this issues, unfortunately there level of compensation hasn’t meet my expectations. I have asked for a refund for the meal, but they have refused blankly this won’t be happening, but they are wiling to pay for a meal for two/wine - which to me does not make sense! There is also the added cost in booking another room and the travel cost due to living an hour or so away. When this was highlighted, the response was our other customers travel for a meal for a day - so why don’t you - but you offered a bottle of wine - how can you drink and drive!! I am not other customers!! Will not be returning in the future!!

Had drinks in the bar area by the fire. Super cosy and warm, lovely atmosphere, comfy chairs fireside. We were served by the lovely Freya….attentive, professional service with the biggest smile! Such a pleasure to meet her, will definitely be back

We've dined at the Gannet restaurant everything we are in Carbis Bay and has always been first class +. The food is sublime, and the service is excellent. There is a great ambience, and the whole restaurant is decorated to the highest standard. There is nothing to compare in the area.

Stayed at the Gannet on a Friday night paid £185 for 2 people including £50 dinner credit, spa access at the Carbis Bay estate and breakfast. Dinner was amazing; the food was delicious and the service was top quality. We had a large party of 13 people who were all catered to well, including one party who was gluten and dairy intolerant. Steak, burgers, pasta, muscles, sundaes, sticky toffee all cooked to perfection! The spa access was great and flexible around dinner and breakfast, lovely outdoor facilities of a hydro pool, sauna and hot tub, however pricey drinks. The accommodation at the Gannet inn was clean, tidy, modern and comfortable. Breakfast again was delicious, amazing service, quality food and no complaints! Would stay here again with no hesitation.

Staff were very efficient polite and helpful. Food great as well. Stingy on the carrots though. Didn’t enforce or request tip, which is also refreshing. Parking isn’t easy. Lighting could have been a bit brighter. Relaxed atmosphere. Would come back. This time to stay

Overall a good experience. Room clean and well furnished. The highlight is undoubtedly outstanding staff in all areas; always helpful, provide great service, cheerful, ready to chat, knowledgeable about the area. Pros; Well located for St Ives and surrounding areas. Great sea view from our room (room 2). Food in restaurant very good. Helpful and flexible regarding breakfast arrangements. Room modern and well furnished. Bed linen top quality. Car parking on site. Accommodated gluten-free and lactose intolerant needs efficiently and without fuss. Small lights in bathroom for during the night. Very quiet despite being on a main road. Cons; Room 2 is rather small. (TIP: Get the other room at the front. Same sea view but much bigger.) Various glitches with the bathroom: fan not working, shower weak, hand basin drains painfully slowly. Overall we enjoyed the stay and would certainly stay again.
