Our first impression was that this place has seen better days but we soon realised we’d found an affordable gem. We had a small room, which was very cosy, but more than adequate if you are out for most of the day. Very comfortable bed and lovely fluffy towels. Fridge refilled daily with water, juice, snacks etc. tea and coffee facilities, even an egg boiler. Parking on site for a limited number of cars. It’s about ten minutes walk downhill to the station (£1 to St Ives). There’s a chemist, mini supermarket, cafe and Spanish restaurant within 100m. If you’re a light sleeper I’d recommend bringing earplugs and an eye mask.
