We stayed in the ground floor 3-bed room which was bright and comfortable. the room had it's own exit to the small garden. Bathroom smallish but clean and updated with shower. The room had a good sized table and chairs if you wanted to have a meal there. Host Adrian was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was continental style with lots of choices of bread/waffles/pancakes/crumpet, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, youghurts, cereals etc. Location was perfect - 6 minutes with bus into St Ives and 3 diferent buses on the road right outside. We did not have a car but parking was also available close to the B&B. Safe and calm residential area with 2-3 restaurants within 5 minutes walking distance. A big Tesco about 10 minutes walk was handy too.

Ground floor room with shower, compact one small wardrobe, no kng size bed which nowadays are pretty well standard, my bedside table collapse, cheap self assembly. The Hotel as steps at entrance and steps inside to bar and dining room. Rather small lift to other floors. Breakfast self service for hot & cold food, down steps to dining room, meals average neither good or bad. We think they are packing too many Coach Tours at one time, causing meal times to be variable and not consistent.

Amazing location, our balcony room was overlooking the stunning Porthminster beach, the room felt very luxurious and the dressing gowns are a lovely touch. It has been my mums dream to stay here, and she wasn’t disappointed. Kellie and the team looked after mum from the minute we arrived until we left. We ate in the dining room on the first night and the food was outstanding. The breakfast had a good continental choice as well as a varied hot menu. The staff deserve another mention, we felt so looked after by everyone, they are always smiling and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much Kellie and your lovely team - I can’t wait for my return in April with my husband to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Mum is also looking to return soon too 😊

Outstanding hotel. From start to finish. Staff were friendly and welcoming which after a long journey is the most important. The room was cleaned and well equipped to support your stay. They also supported us when our clothes were wet from the previous day. Food was a highlight here too. Everything was delicious. I’d recommend a visit here. It’s a must as it’s close to Penzance but quiet at the same time. You’ll need a car to drive here.

I booked a room for my mother at very short notice. The staff made her feel comfortable and welcome even though she was alone. Accommodated me having a delivery to the hotel etc. Excellent, couldn't thank the hotel enough.

The entire hotel has only a ”new start” and a newly built hut ”Penwith” with only ”4 rooms” can live in, all the rooms in the main hotel are very shabby and more hotel than a hotel. The 16-square-meter ”Penwith 4” room type I stayed in is already the second highest-level room type in this hotel, and I have to try my luck... I can't choose 1, 2, 3 or 4 when booking. To summarize: room types 1 and 2 are on the first floor, room types 3 and 4 need to go up through a very narrow corridor, which is very inconvenient to carry large luggage; the bed is very soft and there are a lot of hair on the floor. Cobwebs, the bathroom area is about 6 square meters, ”compared to” the feeling of the guest room... it's quite spacious. Breakfast is the most common English breakfast...no surprises, and nothing special. Because it is a guest... so parking is free. Because it is near the sea, the wind is particularly strong. There is nothing worth spending time around. Unless you are visiting the small town of Penzance 10 miles away, the recommended stay for two nights is the limit. Living in this place does not have the term ”enjoy”, it is just for ”staying down”, and the price is low!

GGuest UserMe and my partner Jenna got married here then stayed the night and it was a fantastic day/experience. We had around 60 guests with more coming in the evening and everything went perfectly no thanks to Harriet and the main man Stefan ! Im not sure if these guys work every wedding but you need to ask for them as they were brilliant. Always had a drink in our hands, guiding us from here to there making sure we were on time, and anything we needed we just had to ask and 30 seconds later it was done. They really helped make our day special. The hotel itself was also great, really well looked after grounds against a stunning backdrop of St Ives, and very tidy inside. We have absolutely no complaints at all with the hotel or staff, if we were to get married again, we would pick Tregenna in a heartbeat. Also a special thank you to the security man on the gate, great guy and he drove my disabled mum around in a golf buggy all day and made her feel like the queen.
