My wife and I had a wonderful time at Luna Lodge. We spent 4 nights there on the Osa Peninsula in late July. It is literally at the end of a very rough road but well worth the trip. The lodge and thatched roof bungalows are unique and comfortable. You are surrounded by the flora and sounds of the rainforest. The open deck with rocking chairs is relaxing and the pool the perfect temperature for cooling off. The staff is friendly and professional. The food, 3 meals a day, is delicious. There are many activities available for individuals and kids. We did the Corcovado NP hike, Discovery Safari and night walk. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We saw mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians and the variety and beauty of rainforest flowers is amazing. Lana, the owner of Luna Lodge, is very welcoming and accommodating. She is also the founder/president of White Hawk Foundation, a non-profit striving to purchase land to protect the rainforest wildlife. She is passionate about keeping the rainforest pristine and wild. Lastly, whether you are a pina colada fan or not, don’t leave before drinking their fresh pineapple pina colada. So refreshing!
