Wow wow. Life changing experience! You are in another world. Total adventure so far from any commercialism. Beautiful place that is a journey to get there BUT that is the beauty. The owner Lana is a spiritual warm very interesting person with 5 star hospitality. Get her book “Married to Paradise” if you want to read up before. So much to do excursion wise. Bring your cameras. Staff is wonderful food exceptional. In between hiking etc take time to sit back read and listen and see real nature. Not closed in zoos or sanctuaries. Incredible trip book it!

My family recently stayed at the Luna Lodge and we can honestly say that this is a top notch lodge. Although everything was absolutely wonderful regarding our stay at this lodge, the excellent and healthy cuisine, super friendly and helpful staff, and beautiful bungalow and grounds were nothing short of amazing. The staff were all extremely friendly, polite, and really make guests feel welcome at all times. If you're looking for a great place to stay on the Oso peninsula, the Luna Lodge would be a very difficult place to beat!

Luna lodge is a truly magical place. I find no other words to describe how beautiful it is. The views of the clouds emerging from the surrounding primary rainforest is breathtaking. The hikes to the waterfalls on the property feels unreal. Several days we bathed in the waterfalls alone, just accompanied by spider monkeys in the trees and blur morpho butterflies. The beach at the foot of the mountain is also amazingly beautiful. It leads to the Corcovado national park, where we saw countless animals, including a tapir and an ant eater. It is like stepping into a nature documentary. The resort has a few beautiful wooden bungalows and also tents. We stayed in a bungalow and it was very comfortable. There is also a nice pool to cool off in after hikes in the steaming rain forest. The staff at the Luna lodge are the sweetest people imaginable. The guides are very competent and passionate and the restaurant staff and drivers are warm and kind. The owner, Lana Wedmore, took the time to speak to all the guests. The story of how she created Luna lodge is very inspirational (I read her book while I was there). She leads yoga classes at the resort, that I loved. If you a looking for an unforgettable experience in the rain forest, this is the place for you.

We could not imagine such a place exists on earth. If we had known we would have gone way earlier ! We don’t practice yoga but after 2 days in Luna lodge we feel re-energized and re-connected to what really matters. Lana please keep dreaming about amazing places 😃 We came all the way to Luna lodge with a rental car ; if we had to do it again we would get a pick up from Luna lodge driver in Puerto Jiménez.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Luna Lodge. We spent 4 nights there on the Osa Peninsula in late July. It is literally at the end of a very rough road but well worth the trip. The lodge and thatched roof bungalows are unique and comfortable. You are surrounded by the flora and sounds of the rainforest. The open deck with rocking chairs is relaxing and the pool the perfect temperature for cooling off. The staff is friendly and professional. The food, 3 meals a day, is delicious. There are many activities available for individuals and kids. We did the Corcovado NP hike, Discovery Safari and night walk. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We saw mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians and the variety and beauty of rainforest flowers is amazing. Lana, the owner of Luna Lodge, is very welcoming and accommodating. She is also the founder/president of White Hawk Foundation, a non-profit striving to purchase land to protect the rainforest wildlife. She is passionate about keeping the rainforest pristine and wild. Lastly, whether you are a pina colada fan or not, don’t leave before drinking their fresh pineapple pina colada. So refreshing!
