Wow wow. Life changing experience! You are in another world. Total adventure so far from any commercialism. Beautiful place that is a journey to get there BUT that is the beauty. The owner Lana is a spiritual warm very interesting person with 5 star hospitality. Get her book “Married to Paradise” if you want to read up before. So much to do excursion wise. Bring your cameras. Staff is wonderful food exceptional. In between hiking etc take time to sit back read and listen and see real nature. Not closed in zoos or sanctuaries. Incredible trip book it!

We could not imagine such a place exists on earth. If we had known we would have gone way earlier ! We don’t practice yoga but after 2 days in Luna lodge we feel re-energized and re-connected to what really matters. Lana please keep dreaming about amazing places 😃 We came all the way to Luna lodge with a rental car ; if we had to do it again we would get a pick up from Luna lodge driver in Puerto Jiménez.

Hi from Costa Rica, it`s a exotic experience, a place to see birds like Cusinga, Aracari, Trogones (Quetzal family), waterfall so powerfull, a place like home, you sleep in the heart of the rainforest, snakes, platforms to practice Yoga, amazing.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at Luna Lodge. We spent 4 nights there on the Osa Peninsula in late July. It is literally at the end of a very rough road but well worth the trip. The lodge and thatched roof bungalows are unique and comfortable. You are surrounded by the flora and sounds of the rainforest. The open deck with rocking chairs is relaxing and the pool the perfect temperature for cooling off. The staff is friendly and professional. The food, 3 meals a day, is delicious. There are many activities available for individuals and kids. We did the Corcovado NP hike, Discovery Safari and night walk. Our guide was knowledgeable, friendly and patient. We saw mammals, birds, reptiles and amphibians and the variety and beauty of rainforest flowers is amazing. Lana, the owner of Luna Lodge, is very welcoming and accommodating. She is also the founder/president of White Hawk Foundation, a non-profit striving to purchase land to protect the rainforest wildlife. She is passionate about keeping the rainforest pristine and wild. Lastly, whether you are a pina colada fan or not, don’t leave before drinking their fresh pineapple pina colada. So refreshing! A very special place. The whole experience is highly recommendable starting from the thrill of crossing the rocky rivers and uphills getting there, to arriving to the beautiful well mantained property, the caring attentive staff, the quality of the food, the classes in the beautiful yoga shalas opened to forest views and parades of wild animals during the lessons. The shapes and colors of flowers..Breathtaking primary forest with all its biodiversity. . I did the waterfall trail. What a place! Healing session with Lana Wedmore combining a bed of cristals, shamanic rituals and Japanese and Egyptian Reiki was a true gift. Luna Lodge is a place of LOVE indeed. Love of nature, nurture... A very beautiful rainforest environment to connect body and spirit by either participating in the yoga class or reading, relaxing anywhere in the vast property or observing nature. There are many interesting books at the lodge. More books than days to read them! Getting to the shalas or some cabins requires a bit of a hike. It is great exercise. Luna Lodge is a great place to stay but also for a day visit, lunch, afternoon yoga class or a hike. I went there to visit one afternoon, had lunch, took yoga class and it was so great that I came back to stay days later. I felt bit sad when I left because it is always sad to leave beautiful places but I know I will definitively come back. Very unique lodge!

This is truly a magical place set in untouched primary rainforest. That alone is a super incredible experience. The yoga platform and the secondary space above it is magical. The staff is amazing and the food is fresh and delicious. I was amazed at how well kept everything is. The bungalows have the best views from their decks and the open shower is truly great . We had plenty of hot water and electricity. It’s impressive the whole place is powered by water. I was perfectly comfortable. Depending on which place you stay at there is quite the stair climb. It can be an issue for elderly people or those with injuries.

If you are looking for amazing views, gourmet food, 5 star service and as much relaxation and activity as you want, the Luna Lodge is the perfect destination. All of the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bungalow's were "rustically elegant". The outdoor showers were refreshing, the sink was amazing and the mosquito nets were a MUST. Sitting out on the porch watching the rain and listening to the wildlife was like nothing else. Lana is an amazing host, writer and philanthropist. Her energy and desire to really know her guests is something I wish more places would do. Rosie gave an amazing massage while overlooking the canopy of the rainforest. The kayaking with Kay and the crocodiles was exhilarating. I would recommend the Luna Lodge to everyone. Thank you Lana for an amazing, once in a lifetime opportunity.

Amazing place. The owner and her staff have done, and continue to do a fabulous job. Beautiful grounds. Wildlife everywhere (including in your room sometimes). Yoga platform is truly magical… even if you’ve never done yoga!… staff is extraordinarily friendly and helpful. Keep in mind; no a/c, it’s a trek to get there, includes meals (which are good and healthy) but no real menu options. Must be willing to live close to nature for a few days.
