Lovely stay at Newlands Peak Aparthotel.
Quiet and clean location. The apartment itself is very modern and has everything you need. Everything looked brand new! The swimming pool on the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. Very relaxing. Spacious place on the rooftop to workout and braai.

The hotel has a convenient location in the center of Cape Town. The rooms are comfortable enough for one or a young couple. If you plan to walk around the center - it's quite easy. I got to the Waterfront by walking in 20 minutes along busy streets and did not feel any danger anywhere. Small shops and supermarkets around the hotel allow you to cover all your everyday needs.
The breakfast is quite meager, but literally around the corner on the next street you can find good cafes where you can have a great breakfast for a reasonable price and a supermarket where you can buy ready-made food.
Immediately to the right of the exit from the hotel is the entrance to a beautiful park, from where wonderful views of the mountains open.
The staff is responsive and helps to solve all problems.
The only drawback is the noise from the air conditioning systems coming from the yard at night.

Lovely hotel. Very spacious suites with great views and good amenities. Staff outstanding; Thandi, in particular, paid special attention to our needs in the restaurant and bar and was extremely pleasant. Food service at pool a little slow but quality of food good. Pool very private and good ambience. We had two rooms: 540 top floor beautiful sea view. 427 lower floor and view of adjacent hotel and partial sea view. Rooms need a little attention: no bottle opener, double adaptor or wine glasses when we arrived. Balcony doors donβt close properly but not a real problem for us as we had great sunny weather and little wind. Central location - great walkability and good neighbourhood with plenty of restaurants and bars and close proximity to the promenade for a morning run, evening walk or swim in the two nearby tidal pools.

GGuest UserI've stayed there a few nights, and return again & again; even contemplating a long stay. The place is clean; the communal kitchen & lounge area is inviting, the in-house pub & adjoining balcony is cosy and gives the feel of a private party, above the bustle of Long Street below. Communal bathrooms are OK, kept clean. I love the many nooks & turns & corners of the old house and the creaking wooden floors. But the guests are what make the place feel like a home away from home -- an eclectic mix of local & foreign visitors passing through the city. There's a feeling & atmosphere of being in a backpackers in a foreign city, somewhere abroad, making one feel as if one is on holiday, somewhere away from home. I love this place! It's become my accommodation of first choice, for a party night or two in the city.

On site restaurant Liberty's seems slow and disorganized, even for South Africa and especially for a Hilton's. Free shuttle to V&A Waterfront every two hours. Walking distance to the Old Biscuit Mill (a Saturday morning must-do). Regular and reliable taxi service around Cape Town at reasonable rates, for drop off and pickup. Airport shuttle. Neighborhood was very safe Don't pre-book tours before you get here; Yasir and his team will take good care of you.

FFGTRTDThe location is good. Not too far from a Woolworths grocery store and a coffee shop. The coffee shop opens really early which is essential when loadshedding hits and you can't make coffee in the hotel. The coffee was inconsistently replenished so again, being near a Bootleggers coffee was necessary. The hotel doesn't have a generator so when there is load shedding, you will be affected. If you are going to arrive early, you won't be able to check in early as there was no one who could help us at the front desk until 3pm which is standard check in time. We ended up having lunch in the restaurant so we weren't too inconvenienced but if your flight is much earlier in the day, do be aware of this. Otherwise, not a bad stay and I would consider staying again.

GGuest UserHaving travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.

RRobsThe apartment is spacious, clean and luxurious. Lovvvvvve the bathrooms. I had a very relaxing stay at the Residences at Crystal Hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was refreshing and had a wide selection of foods. The location is convenient, close to Canal Walk which we walked to often to buy whatever we needed to make our stay more enjoyable and visiting Hillsong Church opposite the road was an amazing experience.

Jjose luisThe hotel is located right next to where you take the βHop on Hop off busβ which is very good. It is between βGreen Market Squareβ and βLong Streetβ. In this square, craft stalls are set up early in the morning. I have read complaints about the noise in the morning when setting up the stalls (since they have to set up early and take down after 5 pm) but in reality it is not annoying. I had a bad experience since at 7 pm I was robbed on the street between the hotel and the church that overlooks the Plaza. They stole my mobile phone. There are many people asking you to buy them food or give them food, be very careful. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are basic. The bed is comfortable, the bathroom is somewhat narrow, not very comfortable. On the day of my check-out there was no one at the hotel reception serving me. It was 5:50 am. There was a group arriving to check-in, but there was no staff at the reception to assist them. The pool is small, it is on the roof, but the area is really very small. The gym has the basics. Breakfast is correct, fruit, eggs, cold cuts, cheeses, breads and cereals. You can sit on the terrace or inside. They also had gluten-free bread upon request.

JJulian PeensThis bed and breakfast is in the ideal location to visit Simonβs town and its coastline however the actual set up of the bed and breakfast is a huge let down.
We arrived to find our room was not ready, once it was the place still looked unkempt, there was a bucket in the bath, the furniture had not been returned to its original locations well and the complimentary items seemed used.
On our second night there was load shedding a common occurrence however there seemed to be no precautionary measures taken and we had to use our phone lights to climb the three flights of stairs to our room only to find the rechargeable light (obviously for such occasions) had no batteries and was therefore useless. As South African citizens we fully understand the uncertainty of power but for the cost and normal clientele of this accommodation we really expected there to be more in place.
The meal times had been adjusted for the convenience of the staff who were on the premises compared to the welcome sheet details we received on arrival. The whole place seemed to be being run by support staff with no obvious manager on site for the three days we were there (we stayed over a weekend which I would assume to be a prime time)
There is about 4 parking sports in front of the building but they were not being used to their full potential and often we had to park a little further away.
Overall the location was the main positive. Considering the price we would have hoped to have better amenities and hope that the profile for this accommodation can be amended as there are no pools on the property unlike what the description had lead us to believe.
Luckily the charm of Simonβs town and the beaches made up for the serious lack of attention to detail and luxury you would assume a place this price and in this location would have.
3/10 would probably not go there again.
