My wife and I have travelled through to Cape Town on several occasions and generally restricted our entertainment and experiences to central Cape Town as well as the Blouberg and Melkbos areas. When planning this trip we decided to head to Simon's Town and booked into Penguin View Guesthouse and spent 3 nights in the Lighthouse Studio self- catering facility. We were greeted by the delightful owner, Heather Hurter, and walked into an incredible room which enjoys world class views of False Bay. The room was exceptionally clean and included all the necessary to make your stay comfortable, including certain self- catering equipment. The rooms are supper comfortable and also has a balcony where one can enjoy a coffee or sundowner, whilst being spoilt with a view of the best that South Africa has to offer. The world famous Boulder Beach is a short walk away as is the very quaint town center. Fishhoek and Kalk Bay are also a short drive away and as such this beautiful guesthouse is really conveniently situated. We will be back !!

We couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend our last 4 days in Cape Town! Our stay at Penguins View Guesthouse was absolutely perfect! John and Heather were incredibly helpful and attentive whenever we needed anything, making us feel right at home. The Lightroom Studio was exactly as advertised - beautiful and cozy. We soaked in the stunning views every day! Highly recommend this gem

From beginning communication with owner, Heather, to the warm welcome by her husband, John, our experience and stay was so enjoyable and relaxing! We enjoyed our self-catered breakfast(grocery a 5 min drive) on our private balcony, overlooking stunning False Bay and mountain range. Boulders Beach with the African penguin colony is a short walk and such fun! We highly recommend this lovely guesthouse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!

I recently stayed at Penguins View Guesthouse and couldn't have been more pleased. The views from the property are absolutely breathtaking—perfect for morning coffee or a sunset wind-down. The bed was incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and recharge. One of the best parts? It's just a short walk to the famous penguin beach! Waking up and strolling over to watch the penguins in their natural habitat was a highlight of the trip. Highly recommend this guesthouse for anyone visiting the area!

Our stay at Penguin Guest House was exceptional. The room was beautifully decorated, well-equipped, and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better—just a short walk to see the penguins, and the beach was visible right from our window.
The highlight of our stay was waking up to the sunrise on the balcony. Highly recommend this place.

The room was clean, neat and well maintained. The view of false bay and the boulders area is fantastic. The apartment has a kitchen area, has a braai on the patio. We would have loved to stay longer. Super place and will for sure stay there again in the future.
