The hotel's oceanfront location in Camps Bay offers iconic views and convenient access to the city center. Guests appreciated the luxurious breakfast buffet and exceptional, welcoming service from the staff.

I had an amazing luxury picnic experience with my gf hosted by Godwin! We had such a great time, view was unbelievable and we had the whole garden for ourselves, with ocean and Mountain View. Godwin is the best in Hospitality! Thanks and will definitely recommend this luxury picnic.

Amazing Place, between sea and mountains. A place of tranquility and relaxation. Pippa gave me the warm and best welcome . Big thank you to Theo during my dinner , he took great care and always looking if all things are right; to Esona , she is very caring and very friendly ; to Sisonke for her care during breakfast. Such a kind Staff. I had the best massage treatment ever, did by Thembey Awesome view and sunset Room is a bit small and the bathroom unfortunately no storage place. P.S : may be it should be specify about the mini bar if it is on complementary or extra charge.

We spent a lovely few days at this hotel in January. Spectacular views with the most attentive staff …. This is one of the hotels biggest selling points - the people. Big thank you to Angus and the whole team of staff at the hotel who made us stay very special Breakfast was delicious as well food in the restaurant. We stayed in a milkwood room, which was fine, but a little dated in areas and no view Definitely recommend booking a Seaview if possible. Definitely would come back. Alison and Steve Barrass UK

Was not a great start when we arrived at the gate with my European friend in a luxury car and the security asked me if I'm the Uber driver. Shocking And very uncomfortable does not mean because I’m a person of colour driving a luxury car that I’m a uber driving shocking please inform your staff accordingly. We had snacks and a drink in the leopard bar before going down the the restaurant for lunch drinks was good but I think a margarita should be served in a margarita glass not a whiskey glass it’s a 5 star hotel. The snacks and service was excellent. After we had lunch the service here was also excellent the manager very kind came to check up on us and our waitress Sisonke was just exceptional. Food was good nothing special fillet was overcooked. Lamb was really good. Deconstructed crème brûlée texture was a bit off and not smooth the creamy as it’s supposed to be over all we had a great time because of the amazing service In the restaurant. Thanks again Sisonke and all the team

I booked a “Mountain view room” at the Twelve Apostles Hotel (an expensive upgrade), and it proved how important it is to read the small print. It claims, “impressive views from your balcony”. From inside the room, it is almost impossible to see the “mountain”. The balcony is only just big enough for a small table and two chairs, and you have to take it in turns to see the “mountain” as only one chair faces in that direction. Another problem with the non-views inside the room is the permanent misting of the double glazing, where the seal between the two sheets of glass has failed. The three sets of floor-to-ceiling windows have wooden shutters that are ineffective at blocking the light from outside. With sunrise at about 05:30am, your room is flooded with light, making sleeping difficult without a blindfold. The sea-facing public rooms are smart, but my room looked dated. The staff are well meaning, but rarely get it right first time. You ask for cold milk, you get hot, you ask for Earl Grey tea, you get English Breakfast, you ask reception for the bottle of water the people servicing the room should have provided, and no-one brings it. The face flannels in the bathroom only get replaced sometimes. The tea bags and the coffee capsules in the room don’t get replaced…and someone comes to check the room has been serviced properly, and they don’t notice the errors either. It's a fabulous location with impressive sea views, but the food does not match. The sushi was soggy, the “fine dining tasting menu” – tuna tartare, mushrooms, roast chicken – with more mushrooms, venison, and dessert was neither fine nor very tasty. The Leopard Bar was the stand-out exception, and the breakfast was good, if they decide to take your order. I had to get up from the table and ask more than once. For the single traveller (I was avoiding Christmas for reasons I need not go into), the ‘do not disturb’ sign actually said “We’re still sleeping”, and the turn-down service (on request), provided two sets of slippers and dressing gowns, just to rub it in! (If you have to request it, surely they can see the room is single occupied. "No plans on Christmas Day?!" was another insensitive question asked with incredulity. The last day was like the others. I was given a different room to shower in after my check-out time, a standard room that was much nicer than my supposedly more expensive upgraded room! When I opened the door, two room service staff were relaxing in two chairs. “Wrong room” they said. I said “The key wouldn’t open the door if it’s the wrong room!” (The room number was also written on the card holder.) They looked puzzled but left. “Phone reception when you want me to collect your bags” the helpful porter said. I called. No reply. I waited and called again “We’ll send someone straight away.” Ten minutes later, nothing. I called again, no reply. I had a plane to catch, so I went to reception. “Sorry, we only have one porter. He’s com

1) The spa was dirty. There were dead cockroaches in the shower, dirty crockery on every surface, and the surfaces were sticky from spilled beverages. 2) The spa is tiny. The "tranquility room" consisted of 4 loungers facing each other. If you are alone, and there is a couple across you, it can feel very awkward. Especially if you're there for tranquility rather than socialising. The jacuzzi has a maximum occupancy of 1. The other jacuzzi was a bit bigger but was occupied by a couple making out with each other. The salt water pool is in a dark dinghy corner and can admit 2 people. The changing room is tiny and there are no actual seperate rooms to change in. It felt more like a tiny gym locker room than a spa. I walked in on someone with her bits and pieces out and about, and she and I were both startled. Not the spa for you, if you're not an exhibitionist. 3) The facilities are unisex, and the couples packages happen in the same area. If you're a solo female, be aware that there is a chance you could be surrounded by men. Or by couples who love a bit of PDA. 4) The treatment rooms are along the same corridor as the change room, and at the end of the corridor is the buffet. As a result, during your treatment, there is so much external noise from dishes clanging, people greeting each other, clients being thanked before they leave their rooms - everything is audible that it made it impossible to actually relax. Someone also thought it would be ok to knock at the door to ask the masseuse something in the middle of a treatment. Really ruined the massage. 5) No windows in the entire spa. The reason I booked at this spa is because of the rave reviews of the view. You can see NOTHING from the spa. It's small, dark, dinghy and windowless. Even cruise ship spas are bigger and better. In summary: Don't waste your money on this spa. There are many better alternatives.
