A great location and very well appointed property with exceptional attention from the hosts. The bed was comfortable and the room was spotless. The breakfast was satisfying and the staff were efficient. It was useful to have access to the kitchen and patio areas. We were made to feel welcome and useful advice was imparted.

Delightful all round experience. Very clean, helpful staff and management. The buffet breakfast and all day hot beverages and filtered water were a lovely touch, as was access to the kitchen area out of hours. Felt very much like home from home.

We recently stayed at Altona Lodge for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The lodge was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the friendly and attentive staff ensured our stay was enjoyable. One feature we particularly appreciated was the convenience of leaving our luggage at the lodge after checking out. This thoughtful service allowed us to explore the area without worrying about our belongings, which made our trip even more stress-free. The breakfast was fantastic—fresh, delicious, and a perfect way to start the day. The variety and quality truly stood out and added to the overall positive experience. The location was ideal for exploring, and the amenities provided were sufficient for a relaxing getaway. Thank you for such a memorable stay! I stayed a week in the Altona Lodge as a solo female traveler. The lodge is exactly as described and shown in the pictures. I have been really well hosted by Michael, Laura and their staff. The room is comfortable and clean. The wifi works well and the breakfast is full and amazing ! The location is perfect and close to everything, really easy and cheap with uber. Not so far from the airport around 20 minutes by car. I appreciated the kindness of Michael, always available to talk in the morning, sharing stories and he gave me all the safety recommendations. The neighbourhood is safe however it's important to listen to the recommendations of the hosts. In any case if I come back to South Africa, I'll definitely come back there. Thank U for everything Michael and Laura ! I recommend 110%
