Sundown Manor Guest House

Beautifully presented, furnished and maintained house with secure courtyard which is on a split level with a small swimming pool and raised sun terrace on the lower level. The main hallway has a big, comfortable lounge off to the right with the dining area to the rear of that room that leads to the food servery and kitchen beyond which is the first floor open air, covered dining terrace. The breakfasts are great with a cold and hot food  buffet plus endless tea and coffee. We had room 10 which is on the lower level and faces the pool. The main bedroom had a very big bed with a comfy armchair, and a desk area that held the tea gear. There was a freestanding fridge and aircon unit. The wardrobes in the backwall were wide and floor to ceiling. The room's safe is bolted low down on the wall by the bed. The tv was on the wall above the sircon unit. At the rear of the room was a big bathroom with wide sink area, a large mirror above it. The loo was to the left and next to that was a huge walk in shower. Again the whole place was immaculate and perfectly maintained. The staff were friendly and welcoming to the extent it was like catching up with old friends. Jerry, the owner is a lovely guy. I suspect he did a lot of the work to create such a great place Sundown Manor is in a great location being one block away from the main ***** of bars and restaurants and only two blocks away from the sea front. Ideal for those who like to walk, socialise and have a good night out. It's close enough to the action but far enough away not to be distrubed by revellers and the traffic.

All what yo need during holiday is an excellent place with excellent staff. What to write more? xxxx

Sundown Manor Guest House made our stay in Cape Town very pleasant. Everyone in the house – the owners Gary and Felicity, and their staff, were very friendly and helpful, still very professional. It’s a very homey and warm place to stay, only a few blocks from the water and the long “Promenade”, a boardwalk along the sea. Breakfast was a delight with a wide variety of food and types of coffee. They don’t serve lunch or dinner, but you’re welcome to use their spaces to eat your own take-out or cold dishes. We highly recommend Sundown Manor Guest House as a choice of accommodation. We stayed two weeks and loved it – could have stayed another two.

Everyone at the property are so friendly and helpful, the property is central easy to get to shops bars restaurants and beach, the guesthouse is very comfortable and quiet at night with a lovely outdoor veranda you can sit and have drinks in the evening

Fantastic place in a safe and inviting neighborhood. Gary is a wonderful host and makes you feel at home in a minute. Rooms are neat and have airconditioning. In the morning there is breakfast to get you ready for exploring this amazing city.

Gary and staff were lovely and so accommodating. The rooms were clean and the very comfortable. On our last day we had an unfortunate late flight and they made sure we still had a room to shower in and a place to keep our luggage safe. I would definitely recommend going here.
