Chalfonte Hotel

I just LOVE staying here. I've been to so many places in Cape May, and nothing beats the charm and history. Can't wait to return! Carrie

Need to replace the dirty coffee maker without water available with a Keurig machine. Also, Kleenex tissues in the room would be nice. Also, in the original hotels dot come listing there was no indication the actual hotel was closed. Kind of a bait and switch.

Loved our stay at the Chalfonte! This was our second time staying off-season at the Southern Quarters and it was such a pleasant stay. Cozy room, quiet and peaceful, and close to both downtown and the beach. Would definitely stay again!

Our check in experience was different then described on the ******* website. We booked the hotel under the assumption that we would be getting the check in information 48 hours prior to our check in time. After less than 24 hours, I contacted the property in order to get the information. The person I spoke with informed me I should have received that information when we booked, but I didn’t get it from *******. I’m not sure if this is a miscommunication, or what exactly happened. Once we figured out check in, we enjoyed the nice quiet stay at the Chalfonte Southern Quarters. I did wish however that we were staying in the ACTUAL hotel instead of the Southern Quarters. I did feel like the price point was a little steep for having not actually stayed in the Chalfonte, but instead the property off to the side. Other than that, our stay was mostly pleasant. Other tenants were very kind and quiet. I will say though that our bed spread was not cleaned. There were a few large stains on the comforter and the top sheet. We did not use them throughout the trip. The rest of our room was relatively clean.

We stayed in the southern house. The room was clean and comfortable. The location is perfect and convenient to everything in town.

The Chalfont definitely has old world charm! Clean rooms, comfy beds, huge porch. Really enjoyed our stay!

It was a lovely room. Clean, and close to the shopping mall.

The Hotel has the Southern Charm that they advertise. I loved the location - easy walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach. It is a little noisy in the evening if there are large groups as guests. A wedding party was there while I stayed. They were noisy but quieted down well before midnight. Not a big issue.

A cool place to stay if you are looking for the very old Victorian Vibe. The best part was the beds were comfortable. My biggest complaint was no mini refrigerator in rooms & no television in the rooms. Also, the grounds & large porch area was not kept up as far as trash & wet table cloths due to the storm.
