Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles

Bay Haven Inn is pure charm! The house is beautiful, the location is ideal, and the hosts, Tammy and Jim, make you feel instantly at home. Breakfast was incredible and every detail made our stay unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!

Bay Haven Inn offers a wonderful stay in Cape Charles. Tammy is a wonderful host that provides great hospitality. The hot breakfast was great and served on time at 9:00. Tammy offered a wonderful history of the town and was available when needed. The Inn was very clean, and the porch offered a wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee. We highly recommend.

My husband and I decided to visit Cape Charles, VA over Labor Day weekend this year and stayed at the Bay Haven Inn. This was the BEST choice! The Inn is convenient located walking distance to the beach (which was pristine and beautiful), locals shops, and restaurants. The home itself was beautiful, full of history, and extremely clean and well kept. Tammy and Jim are SUPERSTAR innkeepers and hosts. They are well versed in the history, the culture, restaurant scene and activities available. Best of all...the food each morning was AMAZING, from scratch and came with recipe cards to take home. We will definitely visit Tammy and Jim as well as Cape Charles again!! Ryan & Brett

Tammy and Jim are absolutely wonderful hoteliers. The stay was exactly what my wife and I needed to escape our professional stresses. The room was better than expected and very clean. Tammy made wonderful breakfasts a was kind enough to sit and talk with us. She had the perfect personality and experiences to fit in with a myriad of personalities, very fun to be with. The town is very fun to walk or drive around, and the town folk are very friendly. The beaches are clean and well maintained. The restaurants are all delicious. We look forward to staying with Tammy and Jim's again.

Jim & Tammy have a beautiful, comfy haven just blocks from the beach and from a quaint downtown. The delicious Inn breakfasts sustained my wife and daughter as they checked out the antique stores on the Eastern Shore.

We booked a stay at the Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles for our 39th Wedding Anniversary on the weekend of July 26th 2025. The Inn is very nice and feels like home. Tammy and Jim were great at communicating with us prior and during our stay. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. Upon our arrival we were greeted by Tammy who provided us with some light snacks and gave us a tour of the Inn and described what to expect during our stay. We wanted for nothing during our stay. The temperature outside during the day was in the upper 90s but the Inn was nice and cool inside. Breakfast was great every morning and served at 9:00. The Inn is a 10 minute walk from the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided by the Inn and are in very good condition. Tammy and Jim were also very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Many of the guests there were return guests. We love this place and will definitely be returning also.
