Hotel Sogaris

So first the positive side: the location is great, the sea is a dream and the staff at the reception and the cleaning people are very nice and friendly. Negative: the rooms are so small that there is no space for suitcases or to move around. Breakfast staff is very slow. The coffee must be fetched from the waiter at the pool bar. Water, orange juice and food are distributed across a corner by just one employee. This then has to freshly press the juice at the same time. You then only get 50 ml, after about 20 minutes or not at all. The employee then stacks both salty and sweet on a single plate. In fact, she should find out for herself that it is not very nice when the croissant or cake is swimming in the juice of the tomatoes or mozzarella. Unfortunately, the staff in the restaurant are not friendly either, because otherwise you could overlook one or the other, because ultimately the people have an influence on how good a stay is. The water should definitely be within reach, given the temperatures, half a full glass is not enough on request at the bar. The selection of the breakfast is great but the service makes it difficult to get the day off to a good start. In addition, loud charts in the morning at 7:45 am from a box right next to the tables are not for everyone. So there really is still a lot of room for improvement. You need a bathing cap at the pool, this was not specified when booking, which really needs to be changed as this would have been a reason for exclusion for me when booking. Ho trascorso una piacevole settimana presso l'hotel Sogaris a fine Agosto 2024. Hotel 3 stelle ma sotto molti aspetti vale un 4. Ottima pulizia, staff molto gentile e disponibile, piscina un po' piccola ma ben fruibile e molto apprezzato, compreso nel prezzo della camera, il servizio spiaggia che è rapidamente raggiungibile direttamente dal giardino dell'hotel. Spiaggia ampia e ben curata riservata solo agli ospiti dell'hotel. Al piano zero c'è l'ottimo ristorante il SALE, dove ho cenato tutti i giorni avendo scelto il trattamento di mezza pensione. Parcheggio auto, comodo e senza costo aggiuntivo. La camera che ho prenotato, la Elegance, un po' piccola ma con tutto il necessario, ho apprezzato la presenza del balcone come penso abbiano tutte le camere. Come ho scritto, la posizione dell'hotel è proprio sul mare ma nella zona ci sono praticamente solo abitazioni, qualche altro hotel, qualche negozio e bar, quindi non è il tipico posto per fare una passeggiata serale dopo cena, ma a pochissimi chilometri c'è Agropoli con il suo bel lungo mare e il caratteristico centro storico e la zona archeologica di Paestum, dove la sera c'è un discreto movimento dovuto alla presenza di molti ristoranti e altri locali. Mi ha un po' infastidito che spesso le camere al secondo piano, compreso la mia, non erano state ancora rifatte alle ore 14, ma non so se questo è abituale o è stato un caso contingente. L'hotel mette a disposizione due biciclette, ma le ho trovare quasi inutilizzabili, suggerirei di tenerle un po' meglio in condizioni pronte per l'uso. A parte questi due piccoli aspetti, che per onestà di giudizio ho voluto segnalare e tenuto conto di quanto detto relativamente alla posizione dell'hotel, il Sogaris è consigliatissimo. Non è mia abitudine tornare a fare vacanza in un posto già visitato, ma se per per qualche ragione dovessi alloggiare ancora in quella zona tornerei certamente al Sogaris e altrettanto certamente al ristorante SALE.
