We had a GREAT time. The housing, pool, games and more was wonderful. We will stay there again. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very close to restaurants, the river for tubing and Canyon Lake for fishing, skiing, boating or just relaxing in the water.

My husband and I stayed in the glamping lodge (#8 safari tent) during the Thanksgiving week. There are only 3 glamping lodges and ours was the furthest from RVs, Teepees and directly across from the amphitheater and Horseshoes. We were the only guest in this section besides tent campers (two individuals), who were further down the road. The safari lodge was impeccably clean and well appointed with shampoo/conditioner, bar soap, makeup remover, organic decaf and caff coffee (1 serving). They had electrical outlets throughout the tent and their wifi was great, a little slow for downloads, but definitely handled it. We did not plan for 40 degree temps overnight. The tent heater did a pretty good job, but we happen to run into Monica on Thanksgiving day (office was closed) and she quickly brought blankets and a space heater to our tent. Then Paul (maintenance) also delivered a space heater a little later. We were so grateful to Paul and Monica's help when it was their day off. We also needed help adjusting the bench in the gym and Paul was right on it. The staff are incredibly friendly, their help is nearly instant, and they are so invested in providing an amazing guest experience. The photos of the glamping lodge are true to what you experience. I also have to mention the rain shower. That was amazing! We also brought our own food, and grilled one night. Great cooking experience. Make sure to bring your own utensils, bowls, plates, etc. The property is well laid out, and their waterfall is super nice. They have seating to just hang out and enjoy the sounds. I will say, the RV section was nice to walk through to access the amenities. Everyone was so chill and friendly. You can also see the chickens on the property, but we never heard them. We will definitely be back. This was an amazing place to stay and we'd do it again this time of year because we appreciated the chill vibe, the weather (rain and full sun during day - we got the full experience), and a great glamping experience at a great price.

BTW, there's no free parking! Additional car will range $5 to $10 daily depending on season... The facilities were clean, gameroom was fun (when you can get into it, the door handle was broken), fun grass games. We utilized the fire pit on those cold nights ♨️🏕 MQ Staff Madison and Austin were great and very accommodating. They were professional but yet caring, the type of energy you need in this RV lifestyle 🤗 Lost one star due to MQ Staff Monica. Her tone is not approachable. You get this feeling that she does not have the time to assist or if she's too busy for you 😞 Other than that... Overall, we enjoyed our Thanksgiving week. Thank you! And we look forward to our next visit at MQ ******* Rooms: Wow. The varity of style "tents" are mind-blowing. Glamping Lodge and safari are our two favorites!!! Every one were well kept and CLEAN! Nearby activities: Soooooo much to do on and off grounds! Never could you be bored, kids too Safety: Wish there was a gate entrance. The play area is in front, and the entrance is right off the main street. Just got to keep watch on Stranger-Dangers. And a leash on the kiddos that like to explore. There's no sidewalk by main road, so it could be dangerous Noteworthy details: Wi-Fi was great. Sometimes, it was slow, BUT we always had connection. Hotel highlights: Luxury, Romantic, and Kid-friendly

Our stay at Mystic Quarry was WONDERFUL! We went with two other families (6 adults, 8 kids under 8) and it was everyone's first tent camping trip (with the exception of myself who grew up camping in the Austin area). I did a lot of research into tent camping + amenities at sites (I was not looking for a super primitive park as we needed this to be young kid and first-timer friendly) within a 2 hour drive from North Austin including state parks and private sites and settled on MQ for a few reasons. It did not disappoint. We stayed at tent camping site 16 for two nights, which was probably my favorite of their power + water sites. Those sites are tucked away on the back of the property, off the road, which is nice, with a little open area and pavilion between them and some of the tiny houses/cabins. Our friends had sites 15 and 14. The site is large and therefore became the group hangout spot. It accommodated an extra large tent, three tables, our vehicle, and all of the camping chairs around the fire just fine. The campground was clean, the charcoal grills worked fine (we cooked breakfast and used the stovetop espresso maker on the grill) and the fire pit at our site -the other two sites needed some pit TLC- while just a ring of random rocks, was a good size for cooking (we cooked dinner and breakfast, hobo pockets, s'mores, and used the stovetop espresso maker on the fire pit). There's also a lidded trash can at each site which was wonderful as they also emptied it each morning. The creekbed backs up to the sites and water feature was close which was perfect for keeping our littles entertained a lot of the time and shallow enough to not feel the need to be super cautious. The "hiking trails" were beginner and kid friendly, short and sweet, good for morning walks or scavenger hunts with the kiddos, and basically outlined the property. The quarry was simple and close but you could potentially have your group out there for campfires and it had a large outdoor screen with seating for maybe a movie or presentation or something. At night it was quiet for the most part, although since it's relatively close to the highway you can hear the cars, and we saw a fox and some deer, as well as a cute cat and the hens/rooster that normally roam but were cooped by the garden as they were slowly being picked off by the fox. The staff was friendly, and while I didn't get the pleasant man's name that checked us in Friday afternoon, I had interactions with Monica a few times and contrary to previous reviewers, she was friendly and patient. Paul, who was the ground's maintenance guy, was extremely friendly, especially towards our kids. He happened to pull up on his cart while we were out and about and let them help collect algae from the waterfall with him, let them into the chicken coop to feed & pet the chickens, and into the hen house where they helped collect eggs. The bath/shower rooms were a short walk, fully functional and clean, and mostly updated with good w

Under new ownership. Reviews remain high due to hard work of outgoing staff and ownership Front office lives on another planet. One where you are lucky they have even allowed you to enter the property. I "asked too many questions" when I tried to book again in April of 2023. My family and I are "not a fit". Also, if your dog has even 1% german shepherd in it, don't mention it. They are looking for reasons not to book you and apparently that's a good one as well Don't ask questions, and don't have even a 1% german shepherd mix dog. See my google review for extend details, including my conversation with the charming Paul. Paul would not say he was the manager, but he is "management", if that makes sense to you?

My family and small dog had a great time at our Tiny House over Labor Day weekend. We traveled from out of state for a wedding, and Mystic Quarry offered a relaxing time with lots of activities. We took short hikes (it was very hot that weekend), enjoyed the pool, and spent an evening or two watching the stars from our front porch while listening to live music. The house was clean, lovely, well-air conditioned, had hot water and good water pressure. Tubing was very close by, but we didn’t have time to partake. A great place for a getaway!

Love, love staying here! It’s a beautiful RV spot close to Wimberley,, The Blue hole, and Jacob’s Well. This is the second time we’ve stayed here. There’s also live music in the music. It’s a very family friendly resort. Staff is friendly and give a lot of great suggestions.

Honestly one of the worst places to stay at. I wish I could rate this 0 stars but I didn’t have that option. Starting off with the low water pressure and dirty facilities. The floors were covered in dirt and glitter from the last guests. The shower was muddy. The amenities were barely functional. Sinks were clogged, toilet didn’t flush, and the bunks were unsafe to sleep in. Spinning chairs were loose, so they need to be looked at because anyone could easily fall. We had 1 guest come and was overcharged. The website said $10 per guest for the entry and $5 parking but our guest was charged $25. On top of that, they want to want to blame us for something that was already broken when we got there. Sad what people will do for an extra buck. Unethical and will not be returning.

Fun place to stay. Game room with pool and table tennis. However you can only play one at a time. Friday night live music and food truck. Close to river rides. Shuttle service available but for a price. Swimming pool was not clean. Bathrooms and showers very clean..
