Our pit stop for 4 nights R&R up on the RHS of Mallorca. It overlooks the most sensational views of the coast in a little protected very picturesque cove in a quiet area of Canyamel. An hour's drive from Palma the hotel is very obliging in providing transport but it is a costly 100 euros for a taxi to and from the airport. Perhaps a hired car would be a good idea? A very warm welcome, the reception area is lovely with gorgeous modern artworks and lovely views of the sea. Your cases are taken and a welcome drink is offered. I will add that there is a smell in reception that is quite off putting. There is definitely a plumbing issue as the scent of sewage can be smelt most of the time. Highly scented diffusers are located to try and mask the scent but it's not very pleasant. The rooms are really well appointed, beautiful spacious bathrooms and most rooms have lovely views. The air-conditioning is efficient and facilities in the rooms are adequate. The beds aren't the most comfortable I have experienced, could perhaps do with mattress upgrades. It's always a priority of mine when I go on holiday, obviously not for everyone. There aren't too many English people that visit this Adults Only hotel. Mostly German clientele who were all very friendly. The staff don't speak too much English either so we had some difficulties with our orders in the restaurant. The breakfast is lovely,a great choice of continental and cooked and the most wonderful location overlooking the sea dining al fresco depending when you visit. The Food is the Crowning Glory in this hotel, 'The Melassa' offer a delicious Al la Carte Menu in the evenings. The half board options weren't as good so make sure you get sight of the menu before you commit. We also found the service to be amazingly efficient during our starter and first course then we kind of got forgotten for the rest of the meal. It was incredibly busy and it seemed a little understaffed in our opinion. Top Tips - There are small shops nearby, walking distance 5 minutes. The second beach bar along the beach is the best. During busy periods I would advise reserving your sunbed, there aren't a huge amount to choose from. Be sure to make a visit to Arta on market day, only 10 mins taxi, it's wonderful with some gorgeous places to eat & shop.

I spent a week at Melbeach and it was amazing. The view from my room was breathtaking, the room was comfortable and big enough (I booked a suite) and quiet. Very close to the beach and supermarket. The staff was very professional and nice, I enjoyed the massages at the spa very much. The breakfast and dinner were good. The only point was that everytime I took a shower, I had lots of water on the floor due to a default on the door. But despite this, everything was perfect and I recommend this hotel.

This hotel cost me my health. I got severe food poisoning in this hotel from the dinner food they have served. I had the symptoms in the morning and asked them to call a doctor, the doctor has referred me to a clinic which was not able to establish vascular access and damaged my arms from four different areas and were not able to cure me. Doctor said he will come and follow up, but he escaped. The doctor that hotel directed has been simply hooked it. Afterwards, we found a hospital by ourselves and I've spent the whole day in that hospital for hours to have treatment. We came back in the evening with the treatment bill, proofs, made a claim to the hotel. At the reception, we've also seen that there were bunch of people who were complaining about the food quality. They said that their management will decide on what to do. They did not show any existence of guest relations such as apologizing / asking for my health / being sorry for the situation. I'm not even mentioning that they did not approach to cover any costs because of their violence of food security, they did not care on what happened. Unfortunately and normally, we could not eat here anymore even though we had half board reservation which means our dinners were already paid. We simply ate bread and cheese from supermarket as a dinner for two nights knowing that at least those products had food regulatory and compliance assured. I meant to live to hotel the moment that this has happened yet because I was severely sick, I was not able to move. I could not trust anyone here from that moment on since what we had to experience which caused by hotel, was simply ignored and they even accuse us for lying. This hotel broke the rules of main basic rules: food security, compliance, non-existent guest relations and incorrect healthcare direction. And in addition to those as a result, trust and reliability. Avoid this place at any cost.

Exceptional location, beautiful views, but most importantly exceptional service. From the welcome and information on checking in from Javi through to Leonie who works here on the bar, who deserves a big up - always very attentive and friendly, and nothing is to much of a problem. Would 100% recommend this place! Did I say breakfast is first class? No? It is, and the 5 course evening meal was also very good. Not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Melbeach Hotel and Spa is a fantastic hotel and by far the best in Canyamel - right on the sea front, unlike other hotels which are set back from the beach. We stayed in a Superior Double Sea View room, with a great balcony facing the sea - thoroughly recommended (the upgrade from a double room is well worth it!). This is adults only, which meant we had the most relaxing holiday. If you after some peace and quiet & being looked after by fantastic staff in a lovely little boutique hotel, this one is for you. From the moment we arrived and stepped through the doors, we knew we were in for a wonderful holiday. Javi gave us the best welcome - customer service at its best. I have never been made to feel so welcome! An ice cold glass of Cava after a long journey was much appreciated. In fact, all the staff were amazing - Paula, Toni, Eryka and Regina were all fantastic, friendly, attentive and made our stay special. Again, great customer service. We also appreciate the bottle of Cava! The room was stunning. Great bed with sea view, lovely bathroom and fabulous balcony. We spent every evening on our balcony with a drink (the cocktails are great!), looking out over the sea. The sun beds reserved for hotel guests are fabulous - and we loved having lunch there. The breakfast was out of this world - great selection, and great coffee. We also enjoyed the spa facilities and had great massage! The only negatives were the noise from the water pipes from the room next to ours. Every time they used the toilet, showered or used the sink, we could hear it, and it was loud - so loud it woke us up at night. We raised this with front of house, who said someone would come and look at it, but don't think they did. This was a bit frustrating, as silence was exactly what we were after. We also had a problem with the balcony door lock, which sometimes wouldn't open - however, they sent someone to look at this straight away to try to fix it. The sliding bathroom door also kept sliding open - and one does like a bit of privacy - but we propped it shut, so not a biggie. Overall, a perfect little spot for couples who want some time away. The noisy crowds all headed towards Palma, while we got in a taxi to the east coast, where it was more peaceful. Most tourists seemed to be either Spanish or German, and after peace and quiet as well. Canyamel is small, with only a few shops - and apart from the lovely little beach, the main attraction is the caves (which were amazing - well worth a visit!). We will definitely come back!

To the direction of Steh Hotels, We stayed at the Melbeach hotel in Mallorca from Aug 23 to 27th to celebrate my wife's birthday (Aug 23rd). The location and the staff were great, so it pains me to write this complaint, however, our room was a bit of a nightmare... The first night the A/C went off in the middle of the night and I had to get up twice in the middle of the night to try and fix it as it was extremely humid and hot outside and impossible to sleep in a sweaty bed... In the morning, tired from a very difficult night, I showered for a short time until the water at the base of the shower began to overflow and create a river of water all the way to the bedroom. It is really disappointing not to be able to take a decent shower after a sweaty and miserable night. We told the staff and they seemed to suggest that someone would have a look at both problems and resolve them. The staff made no offer of a free night, no discount to reflect the difficult night, no suggestion of a possible change of room, or anything like that...there was even a suggestion that I try removing the drain filter myself...frankly that's not why i come to an expensive boutique hotel to get my hands dirty with plumbing work! Second night: the same thing...no AC in the middle of the night, 2 mid-night wake up requirements to play with AC controls, and a bigger river of water after a shorter morning shower! After providing more info to staff, this time they fixed the drain and the shower worked, and they fixed the AC and we could actually sleep the 3rd night. But still no offer to compensate us and a bit disappointing that it took two full nights and overflowing showers to fix the problem when it could have been done immediately apparently. The 4th day we woke up after a good sleep and a good shower, went for breakfast, and when we got back to the room it smelled terribly in our room of sewage...Aie aie aie.. it seems like this room is *******. Just one thing after another... Finally, the smell went away, and we finished our holiday with a decent last night and overall we had a great time despite the constant issues with our room. We liked the hotel staff and location but the room was really a disaster and it would be normal to compensate your clients for an expensive experience that left a little to be desired in terms of the room, the hotel infrastructure, and the price/quality equation. I hope this gets in front of the responsible person's eyes at the group level as you are a quality chain of hotels and should be sensitive to this sort of experience. Problems can happen, its how you handle them that matters most. Thanks for your attention, Mike

The hotel is an hour east of Palma and quite secluded but well worth the drive. Travel from the airport was arranged by the hotel and was about 90 euros. I was greeted at the front door by Javi who turned out to be a most excellent host who provided complementary cold drinks on what was the hottest day of the year at the time. All of the rooms had great views and the hotel was very clean. It was wonderful to awaken and go to bed to the sound of the sea. All meals were also served with views and sounds of the sea. Our price included breakfast and was a must have. Standard European breakfast and hot drinks as well as whatever egg dishes you desire. Toni was the host for most meals and he always greeted us with a smile even when he didn't understand what I was saying. The hotel has a restaurant for dinner. I found the the dinners to be average which was a suprise. I will say that we were often told by staff that an item on the menu was not available. We also ordered the same item from the menu three nights in a row and it tasted different each time (excellent, marginal, bad). The hotel staff are all friendly and go above and beyond to help which is testament to the hotels management. One observation was that this is not an exclusive property meaning people from the community come through the property to share the beach and some even to take pictures of themselves on the hotel property. There is a ***** mall that is a 10 minute walk from the hotel where you can purchase drinks food, snacks and anything else for your room. I highly recommend this as drinks are overpriced at the hotel. I would also recommend renting a vehicle and exploring the neighboring towns. Hotel parking is very limited. There are very few things that were not to like at Melbeach Hotel and I would recommend staying there without reservation.

From the warmest of welcomes to the housekeeping to the rooms to the views - omg every morsel of food - the staff - incredible - this place is THE place to be - it’s our 3rd visit - an intimate luxurious stay on the East Coast of Mallorca - I almost don’t want to tell anyone & keep it all to ourselves. We were the only English guests but friendly warm smiles greeted us everywhere. I want to make a special mention to Erika who was simply wonderful. She took care of us so well always smiling & nothing was ever too much trouble . We have never stayed anywhere where we haven’t complained about something - the only complaint I had was I didn’t like the olives. 🤣 If you are looking for a re-set without kids I can’t recommend this hotel enough. A must visit is the nearby town of Arta on a tuesday (market day) absolutely wonderful. We shall return often. Friends have already booked on our recommendation.
