Novotel Genève Centre

I had a wonderful stay at Novotel Genève Centre. The location is excellent, just a short walk from Lake Geneva and the city center. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped. The staff was friendly and professional, and the breakfast was diverse and delicious. A perfect choice for a comfortable stay in Geneva!

When we checked in we asked whether, after we check out, we could leave our luggage with them since we didn't want to carry many luggage to Paris and the answer from the front lady with her careless eye was "NO, because we didn't have enough space". We were very sorry with the answer and hopelessly thought how we could deal with the problem. Luckily, on the day we checked out we met another front lady who was very kind and agreed to keep our luggage but we need to pay some charge. The room was ok except the toilet which were flooded all the time when we took a bath during our stay. We probably don't want to stay here again unless we have no choice.

Nice location to all attractions

The hotel is about 10-15 min walk from the train station. There are many eateries in the area but also many bars and a nightclub. The old town and the main shopping street is also within walkable distance. The room is small for my family of 3 adults but fortunately we stayed only for 2 nights. The good thing is the toilet is separated from the bathroom (but there is no washing basin in it to wash your hand), also there are separate shower cubicle and bath - I always prefer a shower cubicle to a bath, for safety reason since I am a senior citizen.

Spacious rooms, and accessible to food around the hotel. Breakfast spread is good.

Very easy to walk to city center and everywhere, nice and clean room

Novotel provides all you need: reasonable cleanliness, good shower, hair dryer and boiler for water, which are not a must in many Swiss hotels. The breakfast is beyond expectation. Check in staff and breakfast staff are friendly. For one reason I may not return to this Novotel is its location on the red light street. First night at 7 pm, there were a few female sex workers who we got passed. Second night at 7pm when we back hotel, there were a few individual males standing at street corners, which did scare us given the neighborhood was already quiet. So if you come in a group to stay in this hotel, safety should not be a big problem and it is good value for money.

The bed provides a high level of comfort, and the room is kept in a clean condition. The location is reasonably convenient, as it is within walking distance of the main train station. However, I must note that the neighborhood can be intimidating, with numerous individuals shouting both at the train station and along the route to the hotel.

Spacious, new and clean room, the layout of standard room is better than room with sofa bed. Excellent location with restaurants, shops and train stations nearby, great choice for business trips.
