We really enjoyed our stay. Friendly, welcoming staff, wonderful setting and comfortable accommodation. Overall very peaceful and relaxing. We didn't eat dinner but did look at the menu which seemed expensive but very limited. Breakfast, however, was great. We would definitely stay again.

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel. Our room had a terrace overlooking the countryside. The local village was a short walk away where we could buy groceries at a local shop, and the village bar/restaurant was fantastic. This hotel does feel remote due to its surroundings, but in reality it is only 3 miles off the motorway. The breakfast area at the hotel seemed small, but it does have an outside area to use too. There was no specific bar, with draught beer, which was disappointing. We used the swimming pool, which was refreshingly cold in the hot weather! There is an abundance of car parking.

It would be difficult to find a hotel with better views that Can Xiquet. It is located in the foothills of the Pyrenees, above the village of Cantallops with a stunning view down to the Bay of Roses. Our room (a studio) was an odd layout with a fairly dark, austere lounge set downstairs from a well-equipped bedroom and bath/shower room. The room was immaculately clean and the upstairs area was very light and airy. Unfortunately, the service was a bit haphazard. There was never any Wi-Fi in the room (although there was in the guest lounge) and there seemed to be no interest from the staff in fixing it. We had trouble getting the receptionist to understand we wanted swim towels (my Spanish and her English were probably of equivalent standards), and the restaurant service was lacking some finesse. Whilst we are active, I imagine disabled guests would find Can Xiquet a little difficult - there were a great many stairs…

This was our first stop on a walking holiday with Inntravel. The rooms were very spacious with views from the balcony over the countryside. Great bathroom with a bath as well as a shower. Dinner was included as part of our package. We enjoyed two good meals. We walked up into the hills until we had views of the castle then walked back and had a welcome drink and some people watching in the bar in the square. Braved a swim- the pool was chilly- but it was October. A lovely spot to relax. The hotel picnic provided for our onward walk had two huge baguette sandwiches each plus crisps, apples and water. It set us up nicely.

Wij hebben gebruik gemaakt van het hotel voor een tussenstop. En, zoals de recensies zeiden, is het uitzicht en de ligging prachtig en rustig. Het zwembad is heerlijk om na een dag rijden in af te koelen. Echter is onze verdere ervaring niet positief. Wij hadden de familie suite (€ 400 voor 1 nacht) met jacuzzi. Na het zwemmen wilden onze dochters hier nog graag gebruik van maken. Echter na nog geen 2 minuten is het haar van 1 van mijn dochters verstrikt geraakt in de propeller van de jacuzzi. Zo erg dat onze dochter in paniek was en wij een stuk van haar haar hebben moeten afknippen om haar los te krijgen. Hiervan direct melding gemaakt. Volgens het hotel voldoet alles aan de regels en kunnen ze er niets aan doen. Maar hierbij WAARSCHUW ik alle ouders, ALSJEBLIEFT KIJK UIT!!!! Het klepje zit een beetje los en er zitten gleufjes in het kapje waar het haar zo in kan (heb foto's bijgevoegd). Mijn dochter is 12 en ik was onderhand onder de douche, dus konden snel handelen. Bij het eten kregen wij een fles Cava als compensatie, maar naar mijn dochter GEEN woord 😓. Misschien dat dingen gaan opvallen als je een negatieve ervaring hebt, maar wat ons betreft was er ook het nodige achterstallige onderhoud. - veel tegels met barsten in de badkamer - kapotte douchestang - zwarte voegen - lekkage plek in plafond badkamer - veel stof op verwarming - beginnend wespennest (met wespen) in het raam (buitenkant) - om 8 uur wordt het zwembad met wc schoongemaakt. Dit ligt naast de ouderkamer, waardoor er door lawaai en dichtgaande deuren (gehorig) geen uitslapen is. In het restaurant prima gegeten. Alleen bij de broodjes vooraf kreeg je niets. Geen boter of ander smeersel. En als laatste bij uitchecken, kon ik betalen maar er werd niet eens gevraagd hoe het verblijf verder was geweest. Wij vonden het dit bedrag en de 4 sterren dus (echt) niet waard, maar willen vooral ouders waarschuwen. Alsjeblieft doe voorzichtig bij het gebruik van de jacuzzi in de familiesuite.

Tra le dolci colline del nord della Catalogna, vicino al confine con la Francia, sorge quest'elegante country house dalle camere ampie e piacevolmente arredate, alcune con splendida vista. Abbiamo avuto un problema con lo scarico del wc che è stato ottimamente risolto con un cambio camera nel pieno della notte (grazie della disponibilità!). La seconda camera era anche più carina della prima. La colazione è piccola ma con prodotti di qualità e legati al territorio. Consiglio vivamente di cenare nell'ottimo ristorante interno.

Het hotel was op goed, omgeving prachtig. N.a.v. ons bezoek in het restaurant hebben wij na ons verblijf van 7 op 8 juni 2025 via de mail contact opgenomen. Maar helaas wordt hierop niet gereageerd. Daarom geen hoge beoordeling.
