We stayed at this hotel during the Cannes Yachting Festival, from Sunday 10th to Sunday 17th September 2023, initially. The first two nights went off without a hitch. Even if the room smells damp and is not very fresh, the hotel is well located and the breakfast is decent. Tuesday morning, I discover an insect running across the bed. I kill him, not worrying too much. The next morning, 3-4 insects identical to the day before. I noticed after researching on the internet that these are bedbugs. Same observation for my colleague who is on the 2nd floor, I am on the 4th. We inform the person present in the morning, and require that a company come and treat the rooms. At the end of the morning, photos are sent to me of the company in action, I come back in the afternoon to give them my clothes as well as those of my colleague to clean in their laundromat. They do it without problem, and on their positive advice we find our rooms to sleep in the evening. The next morning, again bedbugs on the bed, the pillows, and even on the ceiling. While we are looking for other accommodation (in the middle of the show, in Cannes, at our company's expense!!), we demand a refund and news from the boss before the evening. The same evening we got on the phone with her and it was a scandal: she accused us of having brought the bedbugs into her hotel, of having made her lose money with the arrival of a company (still happy in done…), and no: she will not reimburse us for the nights consumed but only for the nights that we will not do from this moment on. She doesn't even finish telling us that it's normal that we saw bedbugs the next day, since the treatment is not effective all at once. SO WHY DID WE TELL US TO GO BACK INTO THE ROOM????!!! Terrible management, absolutely non-commercial and disrespectful. Today, we missed many sales meetings, we took a huge risk of bringing these bedbugs home and infecting our homes. And 10 days later, it’s a shame: my body and that of my colleague are covered in bites from head to toe!!! Only one desire: to tear off our skin. Not to mention the paranoia, the insomnia, the incessant itching that will drive you crazy. So yes, it happens but the management has been catastrophic! Accusing us and daring to tell us “perhaps they arrived with you because we have never had bedbugs” when there is a comment on TripAdvisor from 2018 on this same problem and a second dating from the month of September this year!! It's a real scandal, flee this hotel which is dirty and overpriced for the rooms offered. And for our part, we are far from being out of the woods while our two rooms were most certainly rented straight away without any scruple! Two weeks later I'm still covered in pimples on my face.
