Hotel Santa Cruz

Hotel is ideally located to explore the town on foot. Our room was big enough for all our stuff, and the bed big and comfy. However, finding parking near the hotel (or anywhere in the city) was a struggle, and the nearby public pool and children’s playground created a lot of noise well into the night.

We booked to stay in Hotel Santa Cruz for one night and had a nice stay. It was as described with welcoming staff. The location is good, close to free parking and easy to walk to restaurants and bars in town. We booked an economy room, which was indeed basic, but it was a very reasonable price so I am fine with that. The shower was hot and had very good water pressure.

We had a great two night stay at hte Hotel Santa Cruz. Modern hotel conveniently located close to the town centre on a quiet street with free parking available nearby. English speaking reception was very helpful with suggestions. Rooms were very clean and quiet. The standout feature is the breakfast buffet served in downstairs dining room. Very large selection of breakfast items, all very fresh and tasty, not commercial/industrial food. It was a very short walk to the centre of town with many restaurants to choose from. And a 5 minutes walk to the bus station to catch the coach to Lagos de Covadonga.

Small modern well located hotel. We stayed there for 4 nights - 2 in a standard double which was very comfortable and 2 in a suite, which was excellent. The suite had a spa bath - great for easing the aching muscles after a hard days walking. Both rooms were modern and clean. Breakfast was excellent. There was so much choice from fruit smoothies, cakes, meat, cheese and a choice of bread, The staff were very friendly- we changed room (due to the unavailability of the same room for the full 4 nights) and it was all very smooth. They also gave good advice about where to eat & drink. Parking around the hotel was free but on the road. It might get busier in the summer months. The town itself is in a great location for access to the mountains and several excellent walks, plus has many excellent bars & restaurants. The hotel is across the bridge within a couple of minutes walk to all the bars & restaurants, but is very quiet. Would highly recommend staying here.

Modern and well-situated, close to the river, just a minute on foot from the main street. I was impressed straight away by the helpful and knowledgeable lady at reception who was able to give me all the local information I needed and clearly took a professional pleasure in doing so. My room was large with a comfortable double bed. The breakfast buffet is a model of its kind – I could have happily a spent a large part of the morning sampling the various things on offer. Highly recommended.

We got a deluxe large room which was a spacious clean room with great decor. The hotel itself is very inviting and in a prime location. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I cannot explain how amazing our breakfast was. The best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel ever. So well thought out, time had been taken in setting up the food and some very creative ideas. Honestly was blown away. The member of staff in the restaurant was very attentive and efficient, ensuring everything was neat, tidy and topped up. Definitely visit!!
