"The location is great, just a 10-minute walk from the bus hub, and everything is very clean. This is the first hostel I’ve stayed at where the cleaner works at night to tidy up the common room. The room had plenty of space for everyone.
I stayed here for 2 nights and booked an 8-bed female dorm. When I checked in at 1 pm, I was assigned to a 4-bed dorm on the 2nd floor. At first, I was the only one there, but a man arrived at 10 pm. I checked with reception, and they apologized for the mistake and moved me to a 4-bed female dorm on the 1st floor.
I felt uncomfortable because I was getting ready to sleep and didn’t expect to share a room with a man, as I had booked a female dorm. Moving all my belongings after unpacking was also inconvenient.
My second room was still a 4-bed female dorm, even though I had booked an 8-bed dorm.
I’m not sure why this happened, but I wanted to share my experience to help the hostel avoid similar issues in the future."
"The hotel is not bad, there is a washing machine, you can wash clothes, and the stove can cook, but I didn't do it. It is in the center of Canberra, very convenient!"

"I booked a two-bedroom apartment. The room is large and spacious. The view of the hall is mountain view, very beautiful. Once inside the hall is the bar, the lights are dim, the music is delicious, the western food is there, the hotel is very big, the bar is just a few, there is also a movie theater. The decorations are all wood strips, I can't understand them, I feel special art. Both bedrooms have no windows and are just a bathroom. There are many kitchen utensils and many tableware. Breakfast is the kind of order. Very close to the city center, a quiet hotel. More than 2,000 a night, the front desk will not be Chinese, it is a hotel for foreigners. Canberra has a beautiful view and is especially suitable for living."
"It was ok. We were upgraded to a deluxe which was a bit bigger apparently. The room was very small which would make a standard room tiny you wouldn't want to stay more than one night. There was no extractor fan in the bathroom, & the window didn't open no hair dryer in the room I found out later there shared??? Lucky I brought my own. There was no complimentary bottle of water no books with info on Canberra if this was my first visit to Canberra I would be disappointed. No checkout time given at checkin nothing explaining breakfast if you wanted. Very over priced for what you get compared to other hotels in Canberra"
"Good location. Little bit complicated instructions for getting a key. Initially I thought it was service apartment so that I need to check in at the reception or something. But It was AirBNB. You should help them to clean the house before you leave. Overall, it was good stay."
"The overall experience was good. I ordered a two-bedroom apartment, which is a two-bedroom shared toilet. Please write it here for everyone who wants to order. The environment is nice and quiet, the rooms are relatively clean and tidy, the daily necessities provided are relatively complete, and the price is relatively high. The only drawback was that there was a problem with the water heater in the room at that time. There was always no hot water in the bath, but it was reflected to the front desk, hoping to resolve it as soon as possible."
"It was my first time in the capital of Australia. I did some research and read other people's reviews. I finally chose this one. Of course, I also stayed in their chain hotels in other cities in Australia. Fortunately, I didn't live near the train station. It completely overturned my perception of a capital train station. It's too rubbish. In my big oriental country, the current town train stations are better than this one.
There are food places near the hotel, especially not far from the number one steak restaurant, which is good!"
"It's an interesting hotel, but I didn't choose the room type this time. I recommend that friends who go there try to choose a lake view room. The room type facing the courtyard is not recommended."
"The location was convenient. Walking distance to everything we needed of an evening. I’m glad that the Sebel had twin rooms as we were travelling as friends. Some of the other hotels didn’t. Overall, I’d happily stay again."

ZZhangtong_1990The cheapest Park Hyatt is back with the ** legend experience:
1. The bed is really comfortable. I haven't seen the mattress, but it is really good to sleep on. Among all the top hotels, I feel that Park Hyatt's bed can be among the top three.
2. Except for the bed and the gauze curtain, the hardware and software level of the room is indeed at the level of a 1,000 yuan hotel in China. The TV is from a foreign country, and it is actually TCL. Figure 6 shows a small speaker, a 500 yuan domestic product from JD.com. The St. Regis in Qingdao uses a JBL that costs more than 1,000 yuan.
3. Regarding the abnormal noise, I personally think it is not **. Although when I checked in, the room card could not open the door no matter how I swiped it for the first time when I entered the room. I swiped it three times. My wife pressed the doorbell and it worked no matter how I swiped it afterwards. There are still many people staying in the hotel, and it is popular enough. I think the hotel is relatively old and I really don’t know why there are abnormal noises. The sound insulation is really not good. The bathroom can hear other bathrooms’ noises. In the middle of the night, the neighbors came back and chatted. It was very clear in the corridor. They closed the door and chatted in the room, and I could hear it clearly. I fell asleep as soon as I lay down, and I am not the kind of person who can’t be woken up by noise after waking up.
4. The garden and hall have both produced photos, and it can be seen that they have been carefully maintained.
5. The service and attitude are OK, but not as good as the top luxury hotels in China.
6. The price of more than 1,000 yuan is indeed reasonable, but it is really different from the Park Hyatt of 7,000 or 8,000 yuan 😂. Considering Australia or Canberra, it feels cost-effective. After all, other hotels seem to be 1,000 yuan at any time.
BBaigenThis hotel is really good, with a great location, very close to Parliament Square, the National Gallery, the National Museum, and the Military Memorial. The parking lot is free, the accommodation environment is quiet, the room is clean and tidy, and the bed is very comfortable! A good choice!
CChongLocation : Very near the airport, and yet not noisy at all.
Cleanliness : Housekeeping team is not very careful, left previous guest food on the table. Did not vacuum the floor properly. After i have reported the incident, the housekeeping department send a bottle of wine to apologise. Good gesture.
Service : Front desk staff & manager is very efficient & helpful.
Facilities : Can't commend as did not use at all.
AAnonymous UserI've been to Canberra twice. This is the best hotel I've stayed in. It's really nice. The staff are warm and considerate. The room is big, new and smells good. There were 4 people here this time and we had an extra bed in the living room. It's very convenient. It's only 5 minutes away from Parliament Hill in Canberra. It's in the center of the city. The location is very good. Parking is free on weekends. It's really good. Next to it is the Burbury Hotel, but this hotel has excellent value for money. It's really good. It's clean and comfortable. The location is great. Excellent, I will continue to stay there if I have the opportunity in the future, 5-star recommendation! Canberra feels great this time 😌
GGuest UserOur first experience with A by Adina was in Sydney, so we decided to try the one in Canberra. We loved the vibe, the cleanliness, and the layout of the room we stayed in. The gym was smaller than I expected but it was good enough for me to get in a workout. We were celebrating my partner's birthday and usually at other hotels, we would be given something like a small chocolate or a complimentary beverage but we didn't receive anything so don't expect something if you're celebrating a special occasion during your stay. The location is amazing as it is within walking distance to Canberra City Centre and surrounding suburbs. Would recommend this hotel if you want to stay close to the CBD.

GGuest UserGood location, walking distance to Canberra center;
The room is clean and layout is quite fanny ( two levels), beds are comfortable. The breakfast is above average, and we did enjoy the dinner too.
Secured parking with ev charger , which is very convenient.
In summary, had a good stay with Mercure and definitely want to come back if we visit Canberra again.
GGuest UserNot that clean. It's ok. TV doesn't connect even though it has an option to. Staff leave early and no phones to call reception. I didn't get a WiFi password I had to ask the lady next door because reception closed right after I checked in.
It's not too bad. All I needed was a bed and a bathroom but I can't say it was clean. It was just tidy, at least the sheets were clean. Carpet was definitely not. Also, blinds in bathroom are broken.
SSharonAnything that could go wrong did go wrong!!! For a disabled room there was no power point near the bed. The only available power point in the room was in the bathroom. The air conditioning was manually powered and was positioned above the window so anyone in a wheelchair or that was short could not reach it. The only place to hang up your clothes was on the back of the bathroom door. The bathroom was quite large but when I went to put the towel on the hanger it came apart!!!! And the top of the toilet was broken. Then I opened the fridge and it looked like a soda can had exploded and nobody had cleaned it. When I informed the staff member he was very lovely, he came in and cleaned the fridge, gave me a power board and extension cord for the bed which did help. But then in the morning the young staff member on took an hour and half to bring a toasted sandwich to my room after saying it would only be 10mins. He had clearly forgotten about it. So after such a bad experience I asked for my money back!!!!
