Hotels Near Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Canberra

My reception by Naveen and Dorg was cheerful and helpful; they provided clear and good info regarding the hotel, parking, breakfast and meals in the adjoining Labour Club, etc. Our room on the top 9th floor had a good view towards the Lake Ginninderra, although another high rise had partially blocked the view. Our room was an end room, a more spacious upgrade offered to us by Naveen. It was very clean- every nook and cranny- compliments to housekeeping. It was also nice and bright, as was the bathroom. Decor is very modern and up to date. Bed was comfortable and we had good sleeps. The hot breakfast in the Club was of good quality and variety and good value. Parking on level3 and level4 of the carpark was easily accessible.

I had to attend a funeral in Canberra and a friend recommended this YMCA (Leumeah Lodge) in suburb of Nicholls, handy to that side of the city off the Barton Highway. This accommodation is very new. If your GPS is old, then No. 48 is not on it! It is located opposite McDonalds and behind KFC. It is lovely, spotless, nicely appointed with very helpful, friendly Reception staff. There are 58 (differing) and all non-smoking, rooms to suit most, including bunkbed rooms used by school groups. As a single, I chose the ”Queen” perfectly adequate for a couple - the room, bathroom and shower all spacious, with toiletries and hair dryer provided; the double bed was very comfortable. Air Conditioning and WiFi available with a wall mounted TV, tea/coffee bags & a kettle. There are dining facilities only for Groups but you can order a Breakfast Box the night before from Reception. Parking is available. This Lodge is far superior to many hotels I've stayed in and the cost far less! It was amazingly quiet overnight (a Thursday). I recommend this accommodation.

This hotel has very much an 80s vibe, and the rooms do look like they have not been updated since it originally opened. But I found my room to be clean, the beds were comfortable, the aircon whisper quiet and there was no street noise so we had a great sleep. I really like this place. I especially love the atrium in the centre of the hotel and their use of plants. Lots of plants! It's a very interesting design. It's like being in a terrarium circus tent! I thought some of the trees must surely be fake, but no, it's quite amazing what they have achieved and just how big some of the trees are in there! I love the cosy and private lounge areas scattered through the plantings and water features. I love the look of the stair cases you can see from the centre and the use of wood against the light colour scheme throughout. You will find the hotel is relatively close to EPIC if you are there for an event, to Haig Park Markets, Braddon Eateries, bars and cafes, and the Canberra Centre. I found the reception and bar staff to be very lovely and helpful. Many thanks for a delightful stay.

Very basic budget accommodation, just good enough for spending one night. I arrived late, there was one computer in the main entrance to check in, no signs indicating that it was the computer to check in and out. For the check out the drop off box for depositing the keycard is not signalled and small, the carpets on the G floor are dirty. The shared bathroom was clean, only 2 cubicles for shower and 2 for toilet . The room was clean. No kettle, mini fridge. The smart tv wasn’t really smart, there’s no way to make it work. Location was good, plenty of free car park.

Saw the reviews and was not expecting much. I have been surprised to be honest. The reception was helpful, check in was quick and easy. Our room was clean, well equipped and the bed, lovely and soft and we had the best nights sleep. The only gripe was the communal area toilets were grubby but that’s down to dirty people. You get what you pay for and we were comfortable and can only speak of our experience.

We had a great days in CROWNE PLAZA in Canberra. The room was clean and tidy.The staff was friendly. Especially at breakfast in the morning,One of the staff, ARYAMAN,happy a kind and friendly staff,Especially his happy smile,Made us for a lot of happy mornings. Just returned from a 2 night stay in a 2 bedroom apartment. Our room had 2 king size beds in two separate bedrooms both with televisions, bathroom, with shower/toilet and plenty of storage, lounge room, with lounge and 2 single seats, dining area with table and 2 seats, a washer/dryer combo and a well equipped kitchen with plenty of storage throughout the unit. Our dryer wouldn’t work and despite 2 people looking at it, no one could get it to dry. This was inconvenient as we had planned on being able to wash and dry clothes and towels. The TV in the bedroom with the window also didn’t work. We tried a different remote that turned it on but still said no signal. We advised reception on checkout and we’re told it would be passed on. As a regular Accor customer, I would have thought a discount might have been appropriate having pain $600 for two nights. Parking is also an addition $25/ day. Our wifi cut off in the morning before checkout time which I also found strange. Checkout was by 10am and at 630am, no wifi. The hotel is in a great location. There is no where to park and check in so I had to double park which was obviously not ideal. The lobby is also very small. The hotel was very clean and everyone we came into contact with was very helpful and friendly. We also didn’t get our room service, which again reception were advised about. The security thing you tap for entry to car park is on the passenger side which is difficult when you are in the car on your own! All these small issues aside, we had a great stay.

Stayed 3 nights in a standard queen room. The room was nice, although a bit dark as I was on the ground floor with a small window facing the hotels covered entrance. The bed was very soft, maybe too soft for some. The bathroom with walk in shower was compact but functional. The hotel is close the main attractions, with free secure onsite parking. Kingston shops are close by with many nice cafes and supermarket. It has a fully mini bar in the room but I found the prices too high, $9 for a bottle of beer, so I Didnt use it. I got a great rate for my stay.
