We arrived at the hotel early in the morning and were welcomed by an old guy on reception who was there just to check you in. When asked a question, he didn't have a clue and advised to ask daytime staff. I will start with the good points for the hotel The Aircon is good. You can always get a sun lounger at anytime.of the day, around the pool The hotel is in a good location and is close to the beach. The spa is fantastic. We spent 2 days in here due to the storms. Negatives. The food is awful, it's served cold, and not much choice. The show cooking or grill is 9 times out of 10 is undercooked, and I would advise you to check it before eating. There are always salads and bread buns. The snacks are left out all day from 11am until 5pm uncovered and go stale .These consisted of the breakfast sausages in brine or hotdogs and burgers, chips, or some concoction of croquettes, salad, and olives Rooms are dated, and the beds are uncomfortable.Even though I was advised that the hotel has undergone a refurb, God knows what it was like before. Entertainment is very basic, and it stops on a Saturday evening and re starts on a Monday evening. So Sundays, you have no music around the pool, When you do have music, it's the same playlist on repeat after 10 days. You know it off by heart. I raised several concerns to reception and was advised to heat my meals in a microwave that's in the restaurant. Please tell me who re heats chicken fish or eggs? I have read several reviews below, and the hotels response is that they take points on board. They haven't. I don't want to put anyone off going to the hotel, but we would never return even for free, I spent over £500 on food eating out. I also like to stipulate to the hotel that its room 306, the review is from. My holiday is done now. Hopefully, this and others reviews will help people get a better holiday.

Came back from a week here with my hubby. Now that it's just the 2 of us we always go all inclusive. We loved it, the hotel and rooms were clean, handy fridge in our room was great for keeping bottles of water in, staff were all lovely and helpful, the food was great and always something for everyone. The entertainment was fun, pool was lovely, not too far for a walk to the beach, market and main ***** although the hotel is at the top of a hill, I would definitely go back to this hotel again.

We stayed at the illusion for 10 nights in August 2023 and absolutely loved our stay! We arrived at midnight and I really did wonder if we’d stepped into 1987 ….the reception and interior is dated - by the end of our holiday we barely noticed that though and appreciated much more the wonderful location and the overall demeanour and happiness of the place! The night porter was great checking us in and offered us food and drinks, which we were too tired to accept but it was welcomed. The rooms are dated, what the half lamps buried in the walls are about I will never know, but it provided hilarity and equally we found our room hugely spacious and with everything we needed. It reminded us of holidays when we were kids and it was spotless throughout. We don’t go on holiday to stay In our room! As other people have said they are short on plug sockets so something to consider for a refurb! The bathrooms aren’t fancy but again they offer all you need. We never watched the tv. The WiFi works brilliantly all through the hotel so all tablets etc worked brill. Our balcony had an incredible view out to the sea and bay which I loved. Now to the actual service- the greatest asset of this hotel is its staff. They are so kind and friendly - the food is fine, something different each day - I love seafood and fish and there were plenty of these options, my son and husband like plainer food and always found something! The ‘snack bar’ is food in trays under a heated lamp rather than anything served by a chef - Nothing bad or inedible just being clear it isn’t cooked fresh. We took advantage of the fresh omelettes in the morning but didn’t see anyone else doing this. Plenty of staff on every meal and they are so attentive - nothing would be left on the table more than a couple of minutes without being cleared. We specifically booked a place with a kids club because we had been away the previous year and our boy asked to go to the kids club every day - it wasn’t the same here as it wasn’t a cub - Pedro did his best but he is one man trying to entertain a whole hotel so could do with a helper at least. That said our son adored Pedro and especially the mini disco with other guests from all over Europe. Pedro literally never stopped all day trying to engage everyone ❤️ the other guests were lovely too - aside from our GB friends, the majority were French during our stay As other people have said the staff are without a doubt this hotel’s greatest asset - my absolute favourite was Dulce - managers at illusion if you don’t look to offering Dulce a promotion you are really missing out. What an absolutely lovely girl with amazing English and a great sense of humour. Ishmael the lifeguard also so helpful and lovely. We could go on - I would certainly consider going back to this hotel for a short break in the sunshine in future and we absolutely loved Mallorca. Thank you guys for a lovely stay x

Just returned from this loverly little hotel, was welcomed at about 1am Monday morning by a very helpful gentleman, was offered food and drink but had been a long day. Room was a nice size for the 2 of us, we had a seaview on the side and a pool view ( not our pool but who cares lol)plenty of wardrobe space and drawers, nice size bathroom but had shower over a small bath with a shower curtain, just had to stay clear of it or it got you. Clean towels when asked, room was cleaned every day, they all work really hard to keep hotel clean and tidy. Had something different every meal, they cater for Europeans as well as brits so different dishes but there was always something to eat, had a blue cheese 1 night and it was loverly. Pool area was small and compact but loverly area, plenty of sunbeds, pool table and small stage, music most of the day. All in all we had a great relaxed holiday, hotel not to far from bars and beach, we will definitely visit this hotel again

what can i say this hotel is lovely and comfortable , the hotel itself is very clean with easy access to shops beach bars and restaurants around a 10 minute walk. the staff work very hard and i must say are very polite .plenty of sunbeds at any time of day and lots of seating areas and music playing round the pool which was great check in was quick and easy and rooms are a good size with comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobe space and bonus of a good size fridge .balcony area is a good size with drying hanger. couldnt fault the food there is something for everyone and the fruit curry was delicious . aimee who works on reception speaks very good english and was very helpful if we had queries as was the tall dark gentleman, aimee lent me a umbrella when it rained and the gentleman gave me a map of the area so i could obtain some more euros .rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels and the room always smelt lovely .there are no kettles in room but i always take my own and the hotel does hire them out . jacuzzi and indoor pool were divine like walking in to a warm bath .bar staff are very friendly. big thank you to everyone making our stay enjoyable so much so we are booking again for next year .well done everyone and thank you . julie and marie ( room 202)

We arrived at Illusion Markus Spa on Saturday, 28th Sept, around 1.30pm local time. Even though check-in is from 2 p.m., our room was ready, so we were able to go straight to our room and drop cases and bags off. I need to say at this point that our air-con wasn't working in the room, BUT we reported it, and it was sorted within a couple of hours and has been on ever since. Great news, it's 27° in Majorca! Phew! The hotel is a bit dated, but it's extremely clean and tidy. The bar area is spacious and has air con, so it is lovely and cool. Although the pool area is compact, there are plenty of sunbeds and tables and chairs. I've seen people moaning about the food. This hotel is not fully catering for brits, so if you're expecting english sausage, back bacon and black pudding for brekkie with steak pie, mash, and veg for tea forget it! We have a more varied palette, and I think the food is great. Loads of local booze options, cocktails, soft drinks, and slushies available. The snack selection is as you would expect. Bread, cheese, meats, salad, burgers, hot dogs, and chips. 11 til 5pm, so if you miss brekkie and lunch, you still won't go hungry. Ca'n Picafort resort is fabulous. For a small resort there are loads of restaurants, bars and shops and a fantastic beach. All within a 5-10 min walk from the hotel. (I have chronic pain and walk with a stick, and it took me 10 mins!) All in all, this is a great hotel, and we would definitely come back.

Lovely, clean hotel. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Room was good, comfy beds. Entertainment good (except the bingo). Entertainer Rodica was very friendly and worked hard. Interacted with all. Food was not to our liking., ate out for most of the evening meals. Drinks were plenty, hot, cold and alcohol. Snack bar avaliable, left out at 11-5. Would I stay here again...yes I would as can't fault the hotel or staff. Just short walk to promenade and harbour

Had a lovely time at this hotel, the hotel is spotless and food lovely. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough for you. The location is good easy walking distance to beach and shops. The pool is nice and the entertainment is fine, we had a good dance at the disco. Loved our time here.
